i dont consider myself a classical fanatic or anything but i think schoenberg's piano suite is neat. it strips away any sense of typical consonance, and yet you can still hear all the cool dynamics, tempo shifts, and phrasings. its only flaw to me is that its just one instrument, but schoenberg probably has other stuff similar to this that isnt for solo instruments, right?
