>>10996608>>10996834Thanks! Yeah, I've been looking, but very few Iron Man figures have smooth hands like Spidey does. They're all segmented gauntlets. I might try the MCU Zombie Tony, those are the sleekest I've seen.

I’m curious how much interest there is in a Lara Croft toyline or figure. The recent remastered games have me falling in love with the franchise and character all over again and I’m disappointed with all of the figures I’ve seen so far if her in the toy world. I’m curious if there’s a reason they haven’t made toys for her in years, because Im sure they would sell well. Also is there anyone who’s made a good custom or Etsy seller who sells good Lara figures or at least a headsculpt? And could anyone recommend a good base body for Lara?
>>10995137Ya
>>10993985They wont do that. leftoids cant create anything, they only infect with cancer and kill off everything.Honestly at this point, we should be in a new renaissance. Games used to be strictly japanese, then westerners got them, said "cool we can do better" and the 90's and early 2000 happened. Then unfortunately, all the faggots and trannies got let it, and they turned gaming into a cesspool again. This is the perfect time for new studios of talented people to get together and create new ideas and new concepts for future generations. Hopefully we've learned our lesson and will gatekeep better this time. We shouldn't be saddened by what the wokescolds took from everyone normal, we should be emboldened to make something new that people enjoy.
>>10995407>Games used to be strictly japanese, then westerners got them, said "cool we can do better" and the 90's and early 2000 happened.Hahahaha.Fuck you guys are retarded and it gives me a laugh.>>10990694I might pick one up if the sculpt was good. New nu-lara is alright, but I didn't like snuff-porn young lara so my interest in the series dropped off during the reboots.
>>10995416You do realize this is a board about toys, right?
>>10995416yeah, I was in a hurry and I underrepresented the meat there a bit. my point still stands. I was honestly thinking mostly about early nintendo. But to be totally honest, japan held the market for an incredibly long time and then you had the boom of western developers pushing the envelope, with things like Tomb Raider.
I was in Walmart yesterday and i was seeing how good the $10 figures from other companies look but then hasbro has these stupid 5 poa figures that will sit on the racks for months and don’t even get me started on Jada, practically outdoing every company including some imports
>>10994881But thats a good figure. Whats this trolling supposed to achieve? You don't even own either. Are you one of those SHF thread schizos?
>>10993241I would if it was his classic look
>>10994893just ignore that pathetic attention whore who doesn't buy toys
Unfortunately the only ones gatekeeping niche boards are newjeets and Nguyens. Also unfortunately they are the ones destroying more popular boards as well. Especially the Pakis Bengalis constantly shitposting on /int/ to bait Indians.

>>10998974Be careful moving the Lagia hunter, the joints fall to bits on mine due to the materials they're made out of aging badly. Otherwise the jointless body parts hold up great, you could probably replace most of the basic joints with revo joints.
>>10998979Ah alright thanks I'll be careful. I've heard people online say his neck can snap easily but its also hard to even find reviews of this guy. Had a similar experience with the vulcanlog teostra I opened couple weeks ago, elbow split instantly with minimum movement due to its age. Luckily had a spare revo joint on hand that matched colour well enough. If Lagi takes those too that'd be a help
>>10998797>>10998957It's more likely that WB eased up on it's no gunz policy.
>>10999042I doubt WB had anything (direct) to do with the Japanese toy companies. Are you saying McFarlane too will start having figures with guns? Did WB allowed MAFEX The Batman to have grapnels but not the AY reissue? That makes no sense. What makes more sense is that the Japanese were acting on their own, hence no clear guidelines, no clear distinction between Marvel and DC.
>>10998797AY The Tick when!
When they showed this zombie cobra commander off in the gi joe concept vault back in 2012 i was so hyped but alas, it never got released. Im still bitter the modern 3.75 joe line just doesnt exist anymore too
>>10994917
>>10994904that's what really killed their line from the start.from what i remember they wanted to make modern/classic stuff ever since they got the license but they couldn't due to contractual obligations.that might be the reason why jazwares ditched the sonic license because they didn't want to deal with boom.
>>10975375this, i need to source it again but I found out the creator has model files somewhere actually and he had prototype pics on his website
Night Landing Craft did get a release but this version of the Eel did not. This was supposed to be some kind of deluxe release like the motorcycles from the Retaliation line.
>>10994917>>10994918Where would one obtain these files?
You are given 2000 dollars at a toy convention, whether it be something like Wonderfest, or Kane County, or SDCC, and you are told to spend it within an hour otherwise you lose it all. What do you buy? Do you go for your grail, or do you just try and fill up your collection?
>>10983120>, I used to always find some booths with boxes of loose/used figures for good deals.Medium cons usually have these and they're almost always better than buying online. If you pay cash, you don't even have to pay for taxes.I was able to army build pretty cheaply, but they're not as common anymore, because fuck covid and funkos. And i think smaller cons are really shit. It's all locals (many of whom i already shop at) and even though i live near a big city, I've never really found good deals there. And i mean they're shit if you want toys, because I'm always surprised by artists and talent who are actually local. If you want toys, it's better to hit a flea market than go to a small con. Your mileage may vary.I almost never post other convention loot, because of how common the shit i buy from them is and the fact that it's almost all comic/manga related. Pic of how weak the first post-COVID SDCC was. Not even a lot of cool freebies.
>>10981112>low iq burgeryou are fodder for your government be it left or right
>>10983737Yeah. I went to Otakon for many years. The first few, it would've been easy to blow through $2000 if I'd had it. I'd usually leave with one or two figures/statues, a DVD or a couple of manga volumes, and maybe some random small item. My first Otakon, I bought this small 4x6 frame drawing of Lina Inverse, which I will treasure forever. But as time went on, it was harder to find anything with buying outside of the artist alley. Last couple of times, it was a struggle to find anything. Even though SHF/Figma got big over the same period (albeit too late for most of my favorite series), it always felt like vendors just had leftovers from Japan.I make one or two western toy shows a year now. But I'm renting a booth to sell stuff so that puts a hard limit on what I can go out and spend. Usually it's like after $500, I can go look around and pick up something. Every $200 or so after that I can go back and pick up something else. I usually pick up about three figures. Last year I was so abnormally busy, as in tripled my usual sales, that I could barely get out a second time. I bought a retro Scarlet Witch for virtually nothing,a 1:48 (or whatever the Diaclone cars are) die-cast A-Team van, and some guy inexplicably had the black NewAge Megatron for under $100.
>>10987659>it always felt like vendors just had leftovers from Japan.oooooof... you just reminded me of when i could have bought up a ton of Figmas and Revoltechs for under $10 at comic con one year (2010-2013. i forget).Japanese toys actually fell out of favor around that time and one of the official distributors in the US was offloading their stuff for super cheap. It felt like i was in the middle of Akihabara during one of their clearances where vendors put shit outside to advertise their shit is super cheap.I don't remember the Figmas that were being pushed off, but Revoltechs were easier, since it wasn't a bunch of generic school girls: patlabor, dante, transformers, and a bunch of other shit i didn't buy, because Revoltechs at the time were still archaic with their articulation. Weird cuts.Seriously, you can get some really good deals at conventions and why i generally stop buying stuff a month or two before SDCC and other bigger conventions. ... but you can see that the last few years have been busts. Disappointing. Also, you can get a lot of freebies too. I usually forget to post them, but Hasbro, McFarlane, Mattel, LEGO, Diamond, and even Kaiyodo have given stuff out at conventions. IT can range from blind bags, to exclusives, and even shit you can buy at the convention floor for $20-30. But again, last few years have been a bust. I got some keychains and table top miniatures. mehpic has some "exclusives" freebies from MegaBloks and a diorama piece from MCFarlane in 2015. plus some things in baggies i forget what they were

Anyone know if Figuarts Piccolo is a good buy? Always wanted a Piccolo.
More Kengan>>10998805It really depends what you are after. It's the best Z anime accurate piccolo. He's well scaled and sculpted, but the downsides are the lipstick on the neutral face and the shiny finish on the plastic. The super hero version is better made, but the muscle design and color is based on the anime and he wears god awful shoes.
>>10998883Damn, I was just eyeing the Super Hero one as well, might have to do a coin flip as the pros and cons kinda even out for myself. That said, appreciate the insight Anon.
>>10998805I have super hero and he's alright. Doesn't come with a stern face or cape which sucks but his other faces have good likeness. His torso design gives him a weird sorta hunch bacl when you use his ab crunch. Ankle pivot reeaally shit. And kinda ugly shoes but I don't mind that, nor the manga colours. I'm waiting for a new piccolo with a soft goods cape like the gohan but god knows when they'll do that, could be waiting til like 2030 lol. If youre interested they do sell some soft goods capes on ebay and stuff though.Overall I think superhero looks better (unless the shoes are a breaker for you) but proud namekian comes with muuuuch better accessories, like it isnt even close
On one hand, im glad Dune got big enough to get toys at all, but for a movie with such amazing designs I wish we got more than stillsuits and Feyd, and that stupid Emperor Shaddam Walken figure. Blade Runner 2049 deja vu. Anyone else have some of the Dune figures? I got a turban paul recently, pretty good.

What's up with all this nasty crud inside the package?
I've heard you can send in receipts/card backs and get a car back but I don't see how on any website.
>>10974150Got a walmart brand die cast car pack for this neato vac metalized alien car
>>10997965Lol>>10998522Yes. There are mail in promotions Mattel holds several times a year when you usually buy $20 worth of Hot Wheels at particular stores they name. Mattel Creations' website will have details on that usually. Or if you sign up and get emails from them, they usually let you know in advance. Some of the cars are better to get this way. Others are cheaper going to ebay and buying directly from Thai or Malaysian sellers.Lastly, as someone to have procured some of these cars, they will usually have a number on their side, denoting which release it is of the year, and the color throughout the year will likley be the same. Spectraflame purple and a couple Zamacs were last year's colors, while Spectraflame Red seems to be this years.Pictured is last years set

bumping with Nermal train. I wish Garfield had more interesting things to post. Seriously why didn't super 7 make some Garfield figures or something? I would have been okay if they did hipster shit like early years Garfield, Jon, Odie, and Lyman.
I think my favorite so far is the small movie garfield plush. I haven't seen the one with the bandanas (bibs?).
