Color is mostly determined by the lens
Then the CFA specs and proprietary raw cooking
Then by the raw converters settings
Then by the display medium and room lighting

Imagine if you could not shoot raw. One camera equals one film stock. Not happy? New camera time or gearfag over lens color transmission until the end of time.

Fixed f/10, 1/100th, 30mm lens with ISO 800 film means its trying to cover as many situations as possible while maintaining a relatively sharp shot, but the lens is plastic, and kind of shit, so its always going to be a little soft and soupy.

Kodak do have a Tri-X disposable camera, which, with the flash on, makes for a fun street carry.

I miss going on vacations with these and reliving the experience when the photos get developed

it is likely ok-ish at distances 1,5m - infinity

I am travelling for a year or so, I'm thinking of getting the sony nex-6 since it's lightweight and in my budget. Now for the lens, I have the same limitations, it need to be light, in my budget (100-200$), general purpose use. From what I've seen my options are pretty limited, going to 7artisans, but manual AF seems pretty shitty to use ? Otherwise a vintage lens with an adapter?
What would you recommend?

I would say just use vintage manual lenses and learn how to read the focus scale, it actually becomes really easy to do after some practice and very effective when stopped down.

But at that point you might as well buy a dslr that uses the same mount and skip the adapter part all together, a dslr is going to have a way longer battery life, have shorter startup times and the crop bodies are usually pretty compact. The downside being that in that price range you're going to be more limited in low light

Also a “lamp” is probably very low CRI, if it’s an LED or CFL bulb, even worse. For doing copystand work, you want a high CRI LED COB with a nice big modifier like a soft box with diffusion. Or a strobe. Profoto or Elinchrome if you’re ballin, Godox for a budget.

I prefer the composition in the first post. The second one I'm not sure what the subject is and I think the scene as a subject isn't particularly evokative. The light is nice and the sky is nice but it doesn't do it for me.

The biggest drawbacks with the 50 1.2 is the chromatic aberrations and somewhat slow focusing motor otherwise I haven't seen much to indicate that snoy makes better products.
