>>985140That particular part is in low poly/lowest subdivision. Zbrush doesn't display normal smoothing (or normals for that matter) so you will see tesselation until the geo is made more complex. After subdividing a few times, more geometry is added between preexisting geo, allowing curved surfaces to smooth out while edges that I wish to keep sharp have been creased (adding edgeloops very close to those pre-existing edges)

I don't feel like supporting kikes, so I will never pay for any 3D programs, period.
Is there any sort of Blender add-on that converts it to using sketch/constraint-based CSG style tools? Blender-style tools are absolute garbage for hard surface compared to basic CAD
>>984714I'm not asking for a full solid-geometry CAD suite in blender, that'd be an absurd amount of work for something that could never compete with purpose-built CAD software.I just want some ported CAD-style tools to make hard-surface simpler. Even just a few simple things like tangent, concentric, and colinear constraints would be massively helpful compared to having to either eyeball everything or use some arcane 20-step method that you have to watch a video tutorial to understand.
>>984733If you want a non-destructive workflow use geometry nodes, everything else is a crutch.
>>984733>>984751Just use FreeCAD Blender developers refuse to implement anything CAD related and stopped progress on their game engine, video editor and UI. You are just wasting time on something that exists elsewhere.
>>984733>I just want some ported CAD-style tools to make hard-surface simplerOkay- START WRITING CODE.
>>984692You have that cad addon, whatever is called but it is not an option
>try to search for tutorials on modeling>everything is a fucking youtube tutorialWhy are modellers so fucking ADHD brainrotted? Is there really no text resources for non retarded humans to study?

>>984574Of course it has all publisher you dumb fuck...The volume itself is a passion project for the author since from the beginning he was the one who approached them and was well aware that those wouldn't sell much since last year. The volume on the right is the new one that just released, with just a little more backing since it actually sold an reasonable amount for such a niche topic on Japan. The author is the same guy who goes by @natsumori_katsu on Twitter and it's the guy behind this channel https://www.youtube.com/@user-sy9do4tr4h
>>984581Started in 2020, red flag, vroid model uploaded, red flag, publisher is known marketing agency, red flag, no actual human interaction on videos and twitter is dead, red flag, etc. It’s a scam, I know you people don’t know this but Vroid studio doesn’t accept custom content. Pixiv on the very start had let’s say more inappropriate content that Americans would hate. As such, only Vroid was allowed. You can clearly see it’s bad intentions when the model morths out of place, body parts go in and out, etc.The common usage is Metasequoia 4 as it’s the real supported software for Vroid. What ever dumb thing the scammer did, will not work with real software like MMD, Vroid movie or Vroid Unity plugin. As for the art yes it’s great but in the videos, you see it was done by many plugins which some are paid. The scammers clearly has zero knowledge about rigging and animation must be careful because he doesn’t understand how clothing works thus tries to manipulate how it should work instead of working as intended.
>>977696The most "advanced" tutorials about "anime" modeling and shading that you can possibly get on Youtube are the people trying to emulate and explain how to emulate the Guilty Gear workflow. That's it.

I'm trying to make an animation in Lego style based on the work of Dagon by writer H. P. Lovecraft.
Sorry but I couldn't see anything. Now that I can see and that you're telling me that you want to make a LEGO style animation, my thoughts are: Yeah, you could do that.

I'm making a feature animated film by myself and it renders 1 minute per frame. I have 300,000 frames. And this is AFTER I gutted everything to the bare minimum and upgraded my specs. Before I kill myself, is there anything I can do besides go back in time two years and use Unreal instead of >>>Blender?
>>98471524 since I hate the 12 fps meme with all my soul. Yes, it will be a four hour movie.
>>984744can you appreciate why people might think this is a low-effort troll post?
>>984745Not really, no. There's nothing particularly unbelievable about it and I'm acutely aware of my technical, artistic, and practical limitations, hence this thread. It's not your run-of-the-mill two minute short film with ugly clay people or unrigged objects because that simply doesn't interest me. What does interest me is the anger some people display whenever I discuss it. Sometimes I forget there is a certain class of person on the internet who gets legitimately upset whenever anyone dares to make anything or have ambition - I guess because it reminds them of everything they lack. Believe me or don't and close the tab. Like I said, I'm two years in and all I'm interested in is optimization advice.
>>984746okay, friend; good luck with your endeavour.i think the advice you've received here is sensible and without seeing the project i don't think anyone will be able to offer more specific insight.
>>984747Thanks very much. I'll be posting bits of it on the board after I go public with it, since it's under my real name.
is cascadeur good or should I just learn normal animation?
>>979061Make it do a cartwheel (human body edition) otherwise it's completely useless because if it can't do that then it can't do anything.
I got the free 2 year indie license.Your license becomes permanent for that version after a year, right?
>They force shitty subscription with the new update>No thanks, older versions are good enough for me>When I try to download the older version it automatically redirects to newest versionwtf is this? please tell me this is some kind of faulty behaviour I'm getting on my end and it is actually possible to download older versions without forced subscription
>>983749Okay must've been faulty behavior I got for a short while, now links work properly. Still sucks that they are starting force subscription down your throat
>>969998Is Cascadeur AI even?I thought it's a bunch of IK + physics simulation + black magic under the hood. It's essentially the same thing Euphoria was back in the Xbox 360 days:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWwuinv4MEQ
Its overFhttps://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=27281
>>965045The most ironic thing about their whole temper tantrum is that most of the people they claim would "take advantage" of them were arguably some of the best ways to bring obscure game formats into the limelight.Although, xentax will be probably remembered for a long time to come. Not for the wealth of information it once held, since that's long gone. But because it was a forum that had so many resources archived by what the major users of the forum would call "digital pirates". Most of whom never bothered documenting the original creators of the tools largely because there was no time to do so it seems. And the xentax discord server itself may one day be seen as a poor man's imitation of a digital archive.
>>966617>What exactly on a forum needs to be maintained besides paying for hosting and the domain? The hosting itself is dirt cheap. A legible domain name is max 20$/year if you don't use a meme TLD or one of the scammy "promo" domains. The VPS itself can be very cheap as long as it got decent I/O. €5/month should be plenty as long as the forum software itself isn't garbage. To keep it secure, just keep off as much bloat off the server as you can, have a crontab entry to keep the TLS cert up to date and it'll be good for pretty much forever without needing to touch it. Best to subscribe to the security mailing list of whatever distro you use just in case you really need to update.Biggest issue is spam. Especially pizza spam.Pizza spam is so persistent and obviously unprofitable it's almost certainly something trying to take down smaller websites. And god forbid if you leave up pizza spam just a little too long.t. selfhost website, mailserver and occasionally something else. My website used to have a comment system but it only ever got spam, thankfully no pizza spam but I know other admins struggle with it.
>>979709>€5/month should be plenty as long as the forum software itself isn't garbage.I'm generalizing too much here.If you host a lot of images, let alone videos, then storage costs will go up a lot obviously.
>>979710https://web.archive.org/web/20231018210758/https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=26759&start=15According to this archived page from the forum, money wasn't the issue. It was time. Because, as Mr.Mouse put it "The biggest problem is the cost of time. Time costs a lot of money and energy. That cost is not reimbursed.". Granted, saying that and then shutting down the forums comes across as pretty hypocritical considering that action, alongside stopping archival efforts of the website, wasted the time of everyone who ever took part in the forums, regardless of their intentions.
So, any Xentax alternatives ? Besides Loverslab

guys i'm never on this channel but i wanted to know something maybe some of you who play tarkov or arena breakout infinioty have heard about it BSG the company that develops tarkov says the game arena breakout has stolen their assets including not only models but also sounds etc. you are experts in 3d modelling what do you guys say? i really wanted to hear from experts what is true or not here are two videos one says it is stolen the other says it is not stolenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4l6t8gy5AIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNn1F2LZ2TM
