In the world of Hainei, something terrible is about to happen. It will come fast, nobody will see it coming. It will make people loud, with fright. Bone will be ripped free of flesh confines, souls will be scratched and scarred. Darkness takes flight.

This is what will happen, right from the start, to the finish...

"Think Ray Peat, Think!."

Richard breathed. He breathed in and out. His watery eyes stared at the Necromancer past stretched back lids before they rolled down towards the floor. He began to think, was he overreacting? Was he all upset for nothing, really? He zoned out, for the second. Couldn't hear anything.

Was this wrong? He thought. Was he setting himself on the path to disappoint daddy yet again? All over insecurity.

Then, he looked back up. The Necromancer couldn't be seen past his animal skull helmet, but he was talking. The Chosen realized he was talking.

'----the midget had it coming, what with how often he-'

"What did you d-dj-just call me?!"

'Idiot. I did not call-'

The bident pierced the head cleanly, the Head Necromancer fell limp and collapsed as soon as it was pulled free. A simple thrust he lashed out with in an instant.

He heard a gasp. The Chosen looked to the side. Cultists of Death, and Necromancer pilgrims below the head. One of them was clutching a dagger.

Earth. Fire. Air. Water. Seventy years ago, Avatar Aang and his friends heroically ended the Hundred Year War, and transformed the Fire Nation Colonies into the Federation of United Peoples, a society where people from all over the world live and thrive together in peace and harmony. They named the capital of this fifth nation Union City. Avatar Aang accomplished many remarkable things in his life, but sadly, his time in this world came to an end. And like the cycle of the seasons, the cycle of the Avatar began anew.

=====

Welcome to Avatar: The New Age! As the opening and name of the quest imply, this will be taking place in a similar timeframe as Legend of Korra, though Aang died a few years later and a lot of the stupid shit from the comics and Korra won’t be making an appearance. I’m not saying this will be a fixfic, but I am saying that the only good part of this franchise is the original series. A couple of Korra episodes and like 2/5ths of the contents of the novels are okay too, I guess. What I’m saying is, don’t expect rugs, dykes, enbies, or to be able to metagame too hard. Now, without further ado:

A busboy, already taking a smoke break despite clearly being in the process of opening up, stares at you with his mouth agape before you use your gloves to propel yourself over a perpendicular wall and into the next alley.

Unfortunately, the other officer predicted where you would be, and attempts to apprehend you with a pair of water whips from the paired flasks on his hips, which are fed by a larger bladder strapped to his upper back. You duck the crossed streams of water and shift the ground under the waterbender’s feet in an attempt to throw him off-balance. He twists his hands, pulling the lashing water back behind you, forcing you to flip back over the attack. On the recovery from the flip, you shoot your right hand forward, firing the rock glove at your opponent’s wrists. The projectile strikes true, wrapping around both of the officer’s wrists and pinning him to one of the alleyway’s walls.

The other officer slides over the wall behind you on a ramp of ice, but you stomp a pillar of earth out of the cobblestones to shatter the ice before he can reach you. The officer, who seems younger than his partner, is almost as agile as you are, and vaults the pillar when he reaches it. However, you lash out with your remaining rock glove and manage to tag his ankle, causing him to flip over and pinning him to the ground when you motion down with your left hand. You then stomp forward and pin his hands to the ground by crossing your arms and raising the earth up at 90 degree angles under his wrists. You similarly bring up the ground around the other officer’s ankles, pinning him in place as well.

“I’m really sorry, I didn’t want to do that but this was all a big misunderstanding!” You let them know as you book it out of the alley and back onto a more main thoroughfare that’s quickly filling up as the day gets started. Even a few blocks away from where you escaped from, there’s a noticeable absence of a police presence. You suppose that just means nothing occurred around here last night. While the lack of police is fortunate, the lack of any signs of where Itiqqa went isn’t.

“Stop right there!” A youthful voice shouts, and you spot a topknotted teenager running in your direction, when he points at you you realize he’s talking to you. There’s something familiar about the boy dressed in black and gold, but you don’t stop long enough to get a good look at him, only pausing to reform your gloves before taking off back down the street.

“-ce Jinro, don’t go off on your-” you hear from the cops before you’re clambering up the building at the t-junction at the end of the street. At least you know your new pursuer’s name.

>(2/5)
>>
“Stop, dammit!” The other teenager shouts, and you can picture the rage on his face. You don’t even pause as you clamber up the building’s stone side. You know that a lot of the city’s new construction has steel frames, but this part of the city is still (relatively) old, which makes getting around as an earthbender a lot easier in a situation like this. What does make you pause is the sound of fire rushing towards you.

You barely swing out of the way, and you end up facing the street with a bewildered look on your face. Several of the people who were starting their day are running and shouting away from the firebender who’s chasing you, some of which you can hear are calling for police. More people, further away from the source of the flames, are carefully yet eagerly observing the situation, maybe they think it’s some sort of show.

“Next time I won’t miss!” He shouts.

You respond by using your earthbending to launch a stone at his feet with considerable force. The projectile has the desired effect of making the firebender jump backward, giving you the time to scramble the rest of the way up the building and get a vantage point. The fireballs that fly over your head make you slide down the other side of the building and land in University Square proper.

Knowing that the firebender who’s chasing you has to make his way down several streets and across several blocks to reach the square, you allow yourself to take a breather.

“Ainu?” You recognize Noyon’s voice, and realize that you’ve dropped right into the rest of the police in the University District. A group of five or six officers are detaining a large group of students and civilians, including the mutton-chopped speaker from yesterday, and the older teen you walked home with.

“Please, miss, leave the plaza and continue about your day,” the only police officer in a metalbending uniform, an older, mustachioed man, tells you. “These radicals came upon an active crime scene, so they’re being detained. We don’t want to have to arrest any nonaffiliated benders.”

You breath a sigh of relief when you realize that there’s no way this group of cops heard anything from the ones by your house before you were able to arrive. It’s not like there’s such a thing as a mobile telegraph, and you don’t know the Union City Police to use messenger hawks. “Wait,” cock your head, pointing to the only detainee you know, “why are you arresting him then?”

Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>
Not voicing how messed up it is to only be arresting nonbenders, you add, “besides, he’s a firebender.”

“What?” The metalbending officer and your acquaintance say in unison, looking at each other and then you.

“I mean, yeah, I am,” Noyon nods.

“Then bend, like we told you before,” the tannest one of the police here, who you figure is a waterbender based on his proximity to the central fountain, “if you can do that, you’re free to go.”

“He was here before they marched in,” the metalbending cop adds, “probably happenstance, but he could be a scout. Come on kid,” his tone is tired, despite how early in the day it still is, “just bend and we’ll let you go.” He gives the other officer a nod, and they gesture for Noyon to put his hands down.

The older teen, confused, does, “It’s uh, it’s too humid, can’t firebend.”

The mustachioed cop sighs, and you facepalm, getting ready to hurry on your way.

“Hold it!” The firebender from before, clearly more out of breath, finally rounds the corner to your left. “Arrest that girl, she’s wanted by the White Lotus!”

>>
“You- yo- that—” you stutter and stumble at the impossible feat you just watched him pull off. “That- you’re an airbender!” You hiss out, unable to keep the absolute shock out of your voice. You’re sure that all the color has left your face.

“Yeah, sorry,” he glances into the alley, keeping his back to the fence. “I lied to you yesterday,” he meets your stunned gaze, and you can see in his eyes that he’s being sincere this time, “but I really do have to get to Air Temple Island.”

>[1] Then you have to find Itiqqa. You have some vague idea of the direction she was headed in, and you think that her final destination would either be the Central Train Station, which you can safely rule out on the assumption it will be heavily-patrolled based on the murders last night, or the Southern Water Tribe Cultural Center, which has no reason to be as thoroughly policed. So that’s where you’ll go.

>[2] Then you have to shake this pursuit. You’re pretty sure Noyon was lying about staying on the other side of the river yesterday if he was on this side of the city this morning, but getting as far as you can from the University District before coming up with a plan is probably your best bet. You also need to find some clothes so you don’t stand out as much. Or at least a pair of shoes.

>[3] Then you’re going to go low, underground even! Maybe not literally underground, but if Noyon knows the hangouts of the rough-and-tumble underworld and gangster types, maybe that’s your ticket to disappearing from the police. Maybe you sound like a country bumpkin, but using those types to avoid the law just sounds natural to you.

>[4] Then you’re going to get ahead of the police and the White Lotus. The ferries might not be traveling to Air Temple Island, but Noyon said that the White Lotus was. Maybe you won’t be able to hijack their junk, but maybe if you meet them as they depart they’ll take you directly to the island! It may be a longshot, but it may make the White Lotus see you in a better light.

>[5] Write-in (make a plan of it.)

The solution to no earthly secret is beyond the grasp of your little elvish head. After living for thousands of years only boredom and the road are your constant companions. Oh, Adelyle too. People always assume that she is your caretaker because of your short height but then they notice the leash around her neck. She is a tall and slender demonette, lead on a leash after loosing her eyesight privileges. She overboiled the potatoes the other day. She is now complaining but it's not your problem.

Humans approach you constantly with offers to buy her, as she is the last of her kind. The attention that she always gets irks you a bit. Just slightly. Now you feel guilty and return her sight. A hopeful potential buyer approaches you again and you enter tirade mode. You start a convoluted story, which is an allegory to a verbal representation of saying that you are a collector too. Then you proudly show off your other, non-person, collection. It is the string of seashells that form a necklace around your neck. Each seashell is taken from the shores of a different sea. Great way to fight boredom and existential dread, you have found.

My goal is to collect a seashell from every sea! Now this is a reason to keep on living! you say with childish enthusiasm.

This is stupid Adelyle murmurs to herself. You are forced to take her eyesight again. She puts on her leash with a sigh.

So in short, no, she is not for sale. Keep moving, pal, not my problem. The nonsensical verbal barrage repulses the buyer successfully.

Adelyle is very loyal, Stockholm syndrome you assume. One time, after another fit of existential anguish, you let a group of drunk humans to put their what-nots in your whatever and once the demonette learned about your clandestine endeavors, she pursued the men for several days in search of retribution. You went chasing her, concerned about her potential collector value dropping, oh, and her safety, only to find her innocently sleeping under a peach tree, covered in someone else's blood. You took her eyesight privileges for a few weeks, you recollect, she made something that wasn't your problem, your problem, after all. After that whole ordeal you started calling Adelyle Aids, but you do it sparingly now because she tends to cry after hearing her nickname for some reason.

With the Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa dethroned, the Demon God Dumplin beaten, and Karn's whole family now able to live in his timeline, things have been looking up for the Saiyan General. But all good things can't last forever. And when conflicts arise between deities, mortals are inevitably caught in the crossfire. Does Karn, the Berserker God possess the strength to protect his family, people, world and reality from their fickle nature? Or are the beings above mortal ken also beyond mortal reproach? This outcome may be up to you.

You the players control Karn, wielder of the mighty Berserker Soul. Granting him the power to fight against gods and other divine beings, to resist their influence and strengths. From his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733, only a few years into his time as a member of the PTO, he has now become the strongest Saiyan of his time. With the power of the Berserker God, combined with That Which Should Not Be and having devoured a soul born of the Abyss itself, his strength is now unlike anything before seen in his reality. But will this newfound strength be enough to overcome the threats headed his way? Only time will tell, your choices can spell the difference between success and failure.

Not even close. There are many planets with more sentient beings than Earth, and Chaya has the devotion of hundreds of worlds. She's rapidly leaving behind 'lesser' deity status and quickly approaching conceptual deity levels.

Oh yeah, she was considering readying one against Beerus, when you and Meloka transformed. But after seeing his Hakai erase their attacks, reconsidered. And reconsidered again when Meloka's attack pierced through and injured him. Such an attack was a last-ditch, however, as it would most certainly consume New Salda, and even possibly the entire system and its star in the blast.

The year is 1374 DR. Sixteen years have passed since the Time of Troubles, when the gods were made humble, and forced to wander the Realms as mortals. With the ascension of the mad god Cyric, Prince of Lies, and the recent return of the tyrant god Bane, Lord of Darkness, the future of Faerûn seems increasingly uncertain. It falls to bold individuals who possess an abundance of cunning, might, and determination to shape the future... should they be up to the challenge.

The terrain guides you downwards, into the misty valley at the furthest depths of the Silverwood. Here, the thick canopy squelches the sun's last light, although the shadows are no enemies of yours. The heart of the forest is illuminated by numerous motes of fire, carrying the aromas of cooked meals out into the wilderness. This must be where the followers of Mielikki as well as the Eilistraeans have made camp, assuming that you did not arrive here before Luaue and the others.

The journey was not as uneventful as you had hoped, but you are here. What is first on the agenda?
>Before anything else, I should seek out Luaue, and share with her the news of recent developments.
>It has been quite some time since Willow and I have seen one another. She and I could 'shoot at the breeze,' as the surface dwellers say.
>I can chat as much as I'd like come morning. My feet ache, and I am ready to retire for the day.

One moment, you were sound asleep. Probably dreaming of something that could not or would not happen in reality. Something esoteric and obscure. It could be anything and everything, as that is how dreams work. What was being broadcasted inside of your mind is of no importance at the current moment because at some time during your slumber you passed away. Died. Your heart had stopped beating and your chest had rose and had fallen for a final time. A fate that meets all living creatures, both young and old. At least your life ended painlessly and without any suffering, right? The same cannot be said for most other mortals whose flames have been snuffed out. The world of the living is behind you now. Whatever responsibilities, unfinished business, prospects, goals, or relationships you had are left behind. Now it is just you, standing in the middle of a small yet indescribably long pathway of dirt. You cannot see where it leads, as your eyes travel up ahead until the view forward becomes shrouded by clouds. All around you and the pathway leading up to nowhere is a sea of grass, beautiful white flowers sprinkled about in that green sea. A blue sign points forward, a language you cannot read being written on the side of it. The only symbol you can decipher aside from that arrow is a picture of a tree providing shade for a humble sitting bench. With nowhere else to go and nothing else to do, the only choice is to begin marching up the trail and see what awaits at the top, however far up that may be. But first, you must remember. Specifically, you must remember you who are. What life did you live leading up to your death? Who are you, traveler?

You quickly notice that this conversation has not much elsewhere to go. Not everyone is the conversational type, and Leon over here seems to be one of those people. At least you got something out of him, even if your attempt to give him some advice in dealing with his immense anger had seemingly no effect. Might as well wrap this up. Yeah, just one more thing…why is a van up here? You wave a hand in the air, gesturing to the hunk of metal you both sat inside the belly of. No clue. Maybe someone died in it. Was just laying here when I found the damn thing. Right, right…well, thanks, anyways. You get up, walking over to the man and extending your arm for a handshake. He looks up at you, completely ignoring the gesture while returning for another cigarette. I, uh…guess I’ll get outta your hair now. With that, you open up the side of the van and step on out, politely closing it behind you and leaving the sour man to his business while setting back out onto the trail. You didn’t learn much, except for the fact there’s a lionlike man who likes dogs, fights a lot, and resides in a van. Ah, well. It gave you a much needed break from the arduous hiking, but now it’s right back to that for you. You should be almost halfway there already.

Another nine hours of walking. Walking. Walking. Walking. The same sights, the same scents, the same noises, the same sensations. Dirt and gravel being kicked up by your shoes, step after step. The occasional cool gust of wind blowing against your side and ruffling your hair. Every so often a bird would caw overhead. Caw, caw, caw. The potent aroma of a lively patch of flowers on the grassy sides of your dirt pathway. You assume you’ve been here for 22 hours now, though with all the breaks you’ve taken you figure you’ve only actually been walking for twenty. If there is no more stops and no more rests, then at minimum you are still looking at four more hours of walking. Did everyone have to walk this same road? Did they meet Roger and Leon along the way? No, that doesn’t quite check out. How many people did Roger say he met? Over eight thousand or something. Too small a number. You are lost in thought for a good while, ignoring the serene environment around you. You’ve already seen it enough to know perfectly what’s ahead of you, so your focus can be directed to your own thoughts while everything else becomes a mist around your constant treading forward. That was until you were snapped out of your trance by a leaf having fallen on your head. You look around, taking in the new, refreshing scene around you. More oak like trees surrounding you and your path. Up ahead, the dirt is broken up by a wooden bridge, passing over a pond. The bridge must be about a hundred meters across, and the pond is deep enough to go waste deep inside of from what you can tell. And just like the last two times there was a change in scenery, another person is leaning over the edge of the bridge, admiring the water. This one looks different. A woman. Younger than the rest, though you cant be sure since she’s still halfway across the bridge.

Ready for a wargame with a unique twist? Introducing a "Matrix Game" where your strategic arguments and knowledge of history directly impact the outcome. Think Clancy/Battlefield triller intensity with deeper geopolitical intrigue.

>Key Features:

- Argument is Your Weapon: Persuasive tactics earn you combat modifiers. I'll arbitrate, channeling my history expertise and healthy dose of insanity.
- Volatile Modern World: Choose between Central Asia, the Middle East, or East/Central Africa. Expect volatile factions and superpower powerplays. (Mercenaries 1/2 fans, this will feel familiar)
- Hyper-Realistic Conflict: Amplified economic and technological factors fuel relentless, plausible warfare (The Pentagon/Analysts uses Marix games).

Okay how the fuck did the Iraqi troops manage to trek through all of ISIS controlled territory or on a long round-about route through the entirety of Kurdistan to get to Dahuk on time, and which Iraqi troops, the ones from Baghdad or the ones from Taji, I call immense bullshit on that military counter-argument
If Iran wants to try something, I'd maybe see it as being possible, but you'd have to sell me the idea that they could fucking get through the entirety of Kurdistan before I can hit them and get back

The skeletons and zombies are fit for some dumb, non-precise labour. They obviously cannot be used for anything requiring cleanliness and anything precise or professional is out of their grasp as well. They can operate some basic tools though, like hitting something with a hammer or pulling on a rope to lift something up using pulleys. Also yes, you send the corpses to the Virgilius, even though people grumble somewhat at the disrespect to the dead.

I should probably clarify that the cyberninjas are not an undercover force in that they plant spies but rather they're kinda like a black ops shock troops combo that breaches the defence and sabotages the insides of the attacked base.

The final group of the refugees arrives in your settlement by foot and by horse. They number in about 100 and are sharpshooters with guns, hitting moving targets 1cm wide across the shooting range. Good engineers as well. Thing about them is: they carry a disease within them that makes their bodies rot unless proper treatment is applied. They have the inexpensive supplies with them, but taking care of themselves renders them incapable of training for half of the day. The disease is not highly contagious, but prolonged exposure will lead to infection nevertheless. They call themselves the Lepers, a disgraceful moniker that some of the people called them before and they eventually accepted upon themselves.
>Recruit the Lepers and give them a separate dwelling lest the disease spreads
>Recruit the Lepers (but plan to expel them after the battle)
>Send the Lepers on their way

The Lepers tell of one final danger among the owlmen. They only saw it from afar, but there was a colossal object on the horizon when they fled the city they were in. It made great blasts of fire that roared for many kilometers across the land. You would need something to deal with a big moving fortress or whatever it was that they saw back then.

There are two options that come to mind. Training of more special ops squads to disable the thing from the inside is on the table. The other way is to simply pack enough firepower to blast it apart. The Port Traders could use up their remaining favours to get you either, but the weaponry or devices likely wouldn't arrive in full with this little time.
>Train more spec ops
>Purchase heavy artillery
>Write-in

One day, an owlman bearing a white flag approaches one of your outer forces, requesting a meeting with the leaders. You call the council quickly, and soon enough, he delivers his request. The messenger says that the Ravaging Hosts are merciful in their conquests, and if 1/3 of the populace of the city is given to them as slaves and 1/3 of the riches as loot, they will leave you alone and move on with their pillaging. He also declares that anyone joining the Hosts as warriors will be spared the fate of the slave. The council obviously refuses the deal, but you notice some hesitation in the words of the Patriarchs and the Necromancer... You wonder if you should remind them of their pledge in some way, or convince them somehow.

Send a fourth of the orc warriors to join the Hosts. Send cloaked scouts to follow where they take the orcs. Suckers punch them. Night attacks are a disadvantage because they see better in the dark. Full on assault them with the sun to our backs. Leave the forces that are looking for cyber ninjas on guard.

Remind the Necromancer we owe him, and he gets all the enemy dead.

I don't know what to do with the Patriarchs. Maybe start killing of their leaders that use mind control magic. We can save the sheep.

Big guns can bring down their fortress and pulverize the hordes. Good all around.

Assuming the Patriarch refers to the leader of the Fanatics, their loyalty is already known to be against us. Their reaction is unsurprising, and thus reaffirms that we should use them as shock troopers and spend their lives plentifully so as to minimize their ability to fuck us back.
(I hope other anons have better ideas for them...)

The Necromancer, however, should be reminded that we see him as a friend. We see him as one of our closest allies and would, without question, welcome him into our community...
We're on first name terms, Virgillius! Together we brought the Orcs into our pact! We send our honoured dead to you - you think we'd give them to any back-alley corpse-fondler?! - Our number have always held clear a place for you, but you falter?
You'd rather see me and my people shackled? Perhaps you're not the man I thought you were, but I sincerely doubt that.
I understand the storm on the horizon is... scary. The idea of selling out is easy, and comfortable. But I believe if you do that, if you stand with THEM, the guilt will haunt you 'til your final moments. I know you're better than that, Virgillius. I do not misspend my faith often, but if I have... Then we will not stand in your way. Consider it a final gesture of our goodwill towards you - to let you walk to the enemy lines and join with them unmolested and unharmed. If you so choose that route.

Anon, I'm giving you ten million dollars of my money.

You must invest all of it in the stock market at today's rate.

If you give me a positive return, I'll reward you handsomely.

But if you end up with less than what I gave you, I'll cut off your balls and feed it to my goats.

So, good luck.

The corpse of King Suial the Third lies crumpled before you, the fury that just minutes ago burned in your chest subsiding. The blade in your hand gleams with his blood. His crimson life pools at your feet, staining the marble floor like an accusation. You feel no remorse, however. The old man was a scourge upon the land—a tyrant who reveled in wealth while the people scraped together scraps. His lust for blood sport and carnal indulgence tainted the realm. And he silenced all who dared to raise a voice against his tyranny through gruesome public executions. Your conscience is untroubled by your actions.
A soft voice pulls your attention away from the lifeless body. "You must take his place as king," she implores, desperation etched in her words. One of Suial’s favored concubines stands before you, her gaze unwavering despite the turmoil brewing in her eyes. "Or else the kingdom will fall into civil war." The revealing, green, silken dress that clings to her pale, delicate young frame shimmers like emerald in the torchlight, reflecting more of Suial's taste than her own. Hair black as ravens frame her delicate face, and eyes the color of polished jade pierce you, unwavering in their plea.
You consider her words, as shadows of uncertainty creep into your thoughts. The kingdom teeters on the precipice, held together by the sheer force of the old tyrant's ruthless rule. Without a strong hand to guide it, chaos is certain. She takes a tentative step closer, her voice steady despite her fear. “The nobles will carve the land among themselves, each vying for power. The people will suffer more.”
In the flickering light of the throne room, you see the terror beneath her composure. She, like countless others, has endured the old tyrant’s cruelty and lust, yet she does not flee, does not turn away from the blood staining your blade.
Instead, she stands before the throne that now sits empty behind her, the gilded chair a symbol of power that bears the scars of Suial’s rule. Your fingers tighten around the hilt of your sword as the weight of her plea settles upon you. The path she offers is fraught with peril, a journey that may well consume you, body and soul.
Yet, as you consider the kingdom’s fate, a resolve forms within you. You sheathe your sword, and as the concubine holds her breath, you make your decision.

> Reluctantly, you ascend the throne, feeling the weight of the people's expectations settle on your shoulders.
> With unwavering resolve, you claim Suial's throne, his crown, and his concubines, all rightful spoils of your victory.
> You decide to establish an uncompromising rule, prepared to crush any dissent with an iron fist.
> You accept the mantle of king, but only temporarily, vowing to hand over power once a rightful successor emerges.

Major plot spoiler I plan to write a scene where the protagonist believes he slept with his mother and the options are hang yourself, blind yourself, castrate yourself, etc..
It will later be revealed to the readers that Jocasta's son was killed and the baby smuggled into the sheepherder's kingdom was some other unnamed concubine's.
Chapter II is coming.

You are an enforcer. The year is 2098. Nation states are obsolete and in their place the megacorps hold the highest authority and power. When carrots are not enough, you and your squadmates will be the stick. At the moment you are a Lance Corporal, riding a helicopter with the rest of your squad.

Welcome to Cultural Civ, a civ game where your civilization's culture shifts with time !

players control a civilization through the years and decide its explorations, cultural and technological advancements, and diplomacy.

how to play:
1) choose a civ to play for. change your name to reflect your choice (ex: Bowtie Noble).
2)each turn, your civ has 1 action and a bonus action. You can choose a cultural, technological, or immediate acion, plus one bonus action based on your realms' bonus action(if your realm has a bonus tech action, you can do any action one time per turn, plus a tech action). (this part is subject to change if the game flow isn't right.)
3)discuss with your compatriots which actions you will take. Once you're done, reply to my recap anchor post with the recap of your actions.

Three tribes just landed on this island, for their own reasons. They will have to explore, and find somewhere to settle.

But first, we need to create and populate the tribes. And that's what thread 0 is for.

Setting: Classic Faerun
the Evermoors

think a Bog/Marsh lake setting. Think Scotland Loch Ness Monster Vibes.

Town Setting:
Lockmead:
Biggest town in the Evermoors but barely larger than a quaint village. The town's two main exports are silver and spirits. Built up around the local Silvermane mine. The town is mostly reliant on imports from Waterdeep of regular commodities. Boats have been disappearing and the regular shipments have stopped being regular. Approved by the mayor, a citizen traveled to Waterdeep and posted some very exaggerated fliers about a great team building opportunity in the town of Lockmead.
Preamble
While in the city of Waterdeep you saw a flier about the Lockmead Adventurer's Guild offering a chance for glory. You may have heard of the Evermoors before or not, or even a bit about the town of Lockmead which you are headed to. But something brought you to the docks where you booked passage on the only ship in the harbor willing to travel to the Evermoors.

You introduce boulder lifting culture with the bugmen! The population begins to become stronger! However, they start eating more and so the food situation degrades slightly.

The slime girl multiplies.

A bunch of orcs show up at our settlement. They kill a few workers and leave. Our warriors track them back to their tribe by scent. The orcs have more warriors than we do.

You are perched on your sturdy Arabian stallion, scanning the horizon. The sun, a molten disc descending beyond the hills, casts a deep amber glow across the battlefield. Your fingers grip the curved hilt of your scimitar, its steel eager for blood. Ahead, the Crusaders falter, their formation breaking under the relentless onslaught of your fellow Muslim warriors.
“They are cowardly and weak, like sheep ready for slaughter,” you mutter to yourself, voice tinged with grim satisfaction. It’s a scene you’ve seen countless times—these invaders faltering in the face of determined resistance. You know the Holy Land better than they do; you were raised under its burning sun, tempered by its harsh deserts and rugged hills.
In a heartbeat, you kick your steed forward. The horse leaps, snorting eagerly, and in moments, you’re charging toward the fray, your blade arcing in deadly sweeps. The first Crusader falls before you can register his scream, his eyes wide with shock beneath his helm. The second drops with a gurgle, your scimitar severing his windpipe. A cry goes up, a desperate yell from the Crusader ranks, and they scatter like leaves before a desert wind.
“God is great!” You shout, rallying your men. The wind carries the chant across the battlefield, and you revel in the power it lends you, pushing you to strike down another infidel with swift finality.
The Crusaders came to these lands seeking glory and wealth, a misguided delusion that warps their sense of reality. They are like children, clutching at fantasies while ignoring the harsh truth of your scimitar. “This is our land,” you think, your breath heaving, muscles straining with each swing. “We will not yield.”
You glance to your left, where your commander leads the charge. His spear rises high, catching the sun’s dying light, and for a moment, you see it burn like a beacon, a rallying point for your people. You press forward, weaving through the battlefield, moving with the ease of one who knows these sands well.
Every swing of your blade is purposeful, every movement calculated. This battle will end with your victory because your cause is righteous, a cause that burns bright within you and your fellow warriors.

>>Who are you?
>Zayd ibn Khalid: A veteran warrior who grew up in Damascus, Zayd joined the Saracen forces to defend the Holy Land after witnessing his family's farmland burned down by Crusaders.
>Yusuf al-Fahd: Yusuf is the son of a respected emir and was trained from a young age in swordsmanship; he now leads a small cavalry unit in defense of Jerusalem.
>Salah ibn Omar: A former merchant who traded across the Levant, Salah was drawn into the conflict after the Crusaders occupied his trade routes, devastating his business.
>Kamil al-Rashid: A scout known for his keen eyesight, Kamil grew up as a nomad in the Syrian desert before joining the Saracen army to help fend off the Crusader invasions.

>2 Success

You fall into step with the Mujahideen, your blade at the ready, moving alongside Yusuf al-Fahd as he drives his horse through the lines of the infidels. The Crusaders falter, disoriented and leaderless, and their confusion quickly turns to panic as the Mujahideen strike with precision. The Crusaders struggle to form a defense, their ranks breaking under the assault.
You cut through the camp like the desert wind, your blade a flash of silver in the moonlight. The Crusaders crumble before you, falling under the force of the Mujahideen’s charge. Shouts of victory fill the air, mixing with the clash of steel and the cries of the wounded.
Amidst the chaos, you catch Ghazi Yusuf al-Fahd’s eye. He nods, his face set in grim determination. The infidels will fall tonight, their defeat sealed by the death of their leader. The Mujahideen press on, overwhelming the Crusaders, driving them back across the sand.
The battle rages through the night, but the tide is in your favor. The Crusaders, disorganized and disheartened, have lost their will and courage to fight, not that they had much of either in the first place. They begin to retreat, fleeing into the desert, abandoning their camp and their comrades. The Mujahideen stand victorious, the cries of triumph echoing across the dunes.
You survey the aftermath, your breath coming in steady gasps. The Crusader camp lies in shambles, their banners trampled and their fires extinguished.
The Mujahideen stand victorious, your blades dripping with the crimson of your blue-eyed enemies. The Crusaders lie scattered across the sands, their ranks shattered and broken. The few who survived are herded into a makeshift pen, prisoners of war now at the mercy of their captors.
Yusuf al-Fahd surveys the battlefield, his eyes resting on the fallen Crusaders and the triumphant Mujahideen. He dismounts from his horse, moving through the ranks of his warriors, offering words of encouragement and gratitude. His gaze finally meets yours, and he strides toward you, his expression one of approval.
"Kamil al-Rashid," he begins, placing a firm hand on your shoulder. "You have done well. Your actions have brought us victory tonight. The Crusaders were leaderless and in disarray thanks to your courage and skill."
You bow your head in gratitude, humbled by his words. "It is an honor to serve, Sayyid. The Holy Lands remain in the hands of the faithful and righteous."
Yusuf al-Fahd nods, his eyes reflecting the fierce pride of a commander who has led his people to victory. "I will send word to Sultan Salah ad-Din, informing him of our triumph. This victory is ours, and the infidels will think twice before crossing the desert again."
