The main reason I don't like most spin-off works is they are both cheaply made and rely on so much in your face CGI or zany costumes to depict the setting. Which isn't what Wonderland is supposed to be about. Wonderland is supposed to be a child's descent into imagination (some would argue madness) as an attempt to disconnect from the real world.A lot of Wonderland works have become very perverted due to the association this work has with the MKUltra program and the so-called psychedelic "community" (which is just an extension of MKUltra). At least not as much as my professional ones.Vast majority of people can't tell anyway no matter how much time you give the encoder or how much filtering you do. Aside from very obvious errors.There is no point in touching the audio. At most you'll only save a couple of MB. The difference between Opus and AAC at high bitrates came out to about 2MB in favor of Opus. The only place to save bitrate and get smaller files is to re-encode the video itself. You can maybe save 10-25MB depending on file by dumping the secret attachments. But those aren't being sent over network anyway if you're doing streaming. You could dump the commentary audio tracks and save maybe 10-20MB per episode. But again they aren't being sent over the network if you're streaming them from NAS so there is really no point. With how cheap HDD space is now I don't worry about that kind of savings. As long as I can keep individual episodes below about 1GB I deem it acceptable. But bloating up SoL shit to that size is usually not something I'll tolerate.The average episode being stored on my NAS as x265 is around 500-600MB. Few outliers in either direction. Some shows are about 200-300MB on average. Some shows get up to 800-900MB if a lot is going on in the video. That's full transparency with BD video most of the time.I have to re-encode a lot of stuff too because people don't test their encodes with anything. I just found out Macross Frontier on my server was crashing certain devices because whomever did the encode used yuv444 for no reason. A lot of Hi10p shit needs to be re-encoded as well since it isn't supported by anything.
