Since Tiny is bound by the effects of History (events that have truly occurred), he can't erase what Darren did even if Darren is recast. Evanna's intervention isn't set in stone, but it's a two-pronged effort. Darren's books drive the clans away from Tiny, and her newborn twins drive the clans together. Push and pull. It's convoluted, but that's time shenanigans for you. In order for Tiny to be thwarted, events are set in stone by finally occurring.
