Mina never being in love before is a meaningless detail when apparently only two of her classmates have.The end result of the general asexuality in the manga is that all the relationships get equalized. There's not much of a benchmark against to compare whether something is meant to be romantic or not, just platonic bonds of varying flavors and intensity.
