I just finished Hirogaru Sky!And with that, I'm basically out of Precure to watch. I took it slow towards the end to make it last longer, but nothing lasts forever I suppose.Just about everything in HS was good or great: the Cures had an excellent team dynamic and I like how they took their time exploring their different goals in life, and what it means to be a hero in these different contexts.I was super excited to finally get to meet the first adult Cure. Hearing about Cure Butterfly was what initially got me interested enough in Precure to begin consider watching it (with Otona Precure finally sealing the deal).One thing that surprised me was how genki Ageha was: it's not at all what I'd expect from a character known just for being an adult, but it makes a lot of sense in hindsight and softens the age-gap between her and the rest of the team.I ended up loving her, and you could tell that the animators loved her as well when they had her flying all over the place for her transformation scene.On the other end of the intensity spectrum, I liked how many low-energy scenes the show had where the girls just enjoy the sunset and scenery together. Scenes of Mashiro and Sora just looking at each other does a lot to convey the depth of their friendship and is part of what makes the season special. The team feels like a big family, and not only because they're all living together.

In a way, Dark Sky felt like the real final boss, and she was also overcome almost purely by the power of friendship.

With an ever bigger Kome in tow, the girls get to their struggle session. Ran and Yui are pretty out of it as they are failing simple story math problems. As the girls work, Amane and Kokone try and get them to retell the math problems, unfortunately that only ends in silly soap opera situations between Ran and Yui. The fairies are noticing the girls struggle and begin to cheer them on, only for the girls to send them out in the yard to play. Outside the fairies are trying to play nice, but Kome is getting more and more bratty with each growth spurt. Each game Pam is finding it difficult with Kome's cheating. Amane goes to get some tea as reward, when she notices the fairies finally exploding. Pam runs off and Amane sits down with Kome to figure out what is happening and gently reprimand her. Kome realizing her fault chases after, and Amane realizes she needs to make sure the large fairy stays safe and follows. As Pam is cooling off, Narcistoru attacks and Pam tries to stand up to him, only to be captured. As Pam tries to fight, Kome appears, but Pam is still mad and she sticks her nose up to Kome's help. Mari and Amane aren't far behind so the DF goes up, and Finale is brought out. Narcistoru is playing dirty, threatening Pam if Finale moves. Kome is down, but Finale tells her to man up and begins taunting Narcistoru. Using Finale's distraction, Kome and Mem launch an attack which frees Pam, but leaves Kome to be captured. Luckily her transormation frees her and Yui, who just arrived, catches the falling Kome. With the other Cures up and going, Finale and Black Pepper start fighting Narcistoru, Black Pepper showing off his new skills. With Narcistoru distracted, the other take their chance to cleanse the MoTW. Afterwards they all have their pizza party and Kome grows a little more.
