Where was Melissa Shield when Deku lost OfA? It would have made more sense that she who is also quirkless and studies quirks themselves would be the one to build Deku's suit. Besides her father knew All Might for years and his capabilities better than anyone and who was loaded would provide better ideas of what OfA could do. Where was he when Deku was a destitute wagie loser? Deku saved his life!

Young All Might was so cool!https://youtu.be/Y2LteBdfkeg
>>285278819Knowing Deku he probably rejected every offer. Deku is weak in that he never strives to improve himself but also never takes the help offered unless forced on him.
>>285279361Then Deku is a fucking loser!
>>285279674But he became a teacher and a respected professional. Why did western fans hate it?
>>285278819I can only assume they are mass producing Allmight armor suits. Allmight put up a decent fight against Afo with just tech, everyone would be after it. Who needs heroes when you can get soldiers in armor.
>>285280219Imagine supervillains running around with All Might suits everywhere
Nobody cares
What are Melissa and her father doing by the time AfO takes over Japan?
>>285278819>>285280443Shut up, this series doesnt exist.
>>285280443Fuck, Melissa is such an erotic slampig! I love american girls. Far better than Ochunko. Deku should have gone for her instead
>>285278819>>285280662Deku and Ochako have so little chemistry together that you can pair him with almost any other female cast member and end up with a more interesting relationship. But Melissa is an especially egregious case, in that she's SO ideal a match for Deku that its a genuine loss that she wasn't a real cast member and the primary heroine. A version of MHA where Melissa was Deku's love interest is just a flat out better story.
>>285280747Kys self inserter
>>285278819>American (fat)>Miopic>Quirkless>FemaleSuch a subhuman
>>285279674he always was
>>285280795Has nothing to do with self-inserting, dummy. What does Ochako actually contribute to the story? What makes her worthy of being the female lead? Her attraction to Deku never moves beyond "supportive crush", no romantic overtures are ever actually made by either one of them. Deku and Ochako share NO common interests, Ochako doesn't ever particularly want to be a hero at the start of the story and she certainly doesn't share his interest in quirks. She has no connection to the overplot, and does not support Deku in the final battle in any way shape or form. Ochako is just a girl that was kinda nice to Deku before he made any other friends at UA. Fullstop, thats the beginning and end of their relationship.Melissa, meanwhile:-is just as nice to Deku as Ochako is-both she and Deku know what its like to be Quirkless in a Quirk-based society, giving them a commonality to bond over-shares interests with Deku regarding studying quirks, albeit for different reasons-knows about Allmight's secrets at least in part and has a connection to the overplot of the story as a result-is both motivated and able to support Deku with support gear that can shore up his weaknesses and give him additional options in the fight against AFO, allowing her to meaningfully contribute to the outcome of fights and Deku's own progression as a hero even if she can't fight worth a damn herselfFrom a character and story perspective, she's a direct upgrade in terms of having a heroine that actually matters or does shit.
>>285278819She... did? What am I reading?
>>285280747Right? Its like the inventions girl, they fit together perfectly.
>>285281548Its because they both scratch the same itch and fill the same role: I don't know if you've noticed this, but Deku is a fucking nerd. Its kind of his defining character trait. He's just going to have more in common with characters that are, likewise, big nerds. Deku fits together with Melissa for the same reason he fits together with Mei (and also, to a lesser degree, Momo) because these are characters where either one of them can be talking about their interests and the *other person would be interested as well*. Which is generally speaking how relationships work: two people who find each other attractive and also have stuff in common to talk about or do together. For Deku, that means either someone who cares about Quirks as much as he does, or someone who cares about saving people as much as he does. He either needs a nerd GF or a heroic GF. Ochako is neither.
>>285281368She is a quirkless inventor specializing in quirk research. She wanted to be a pro hero like Dekuck but became a researcher precisely because she has no quirk.https://youtu.be/JmBdBchQuJ0
>Deku>Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight>Shotomake way for a real hero
>>285281774BASED. Koichi is what Deku should have been. Even his supervillain is cooler because its 4chan
>>285278819She did build the suit, retard.Because she's a semi-canon character, shes only ever been refered to as "my friends in america" in the manga, in the dark hero arc, the afo fight w/ iron might and the ending
>>285278819>It would have made more sense that she who is also quirkless and studies quirks themselves would be the one to build Deku's suit.she did you fucking idiot
MHA haters continue to prove that they don't even watch the show
>>285282315You're so passable, jeremy. Cutest trap I've had the pleasure of fucking
>>285282135>>285282283Just because something is said doesn't mean they made it directly. And not only that, they didn't even offer Deku a job. Instead he had to be a bullied wagie no better than a mcdonalds worker.
>>285283253His job is testing the suit. Stop coping.
>>285283294You're the one coping, he remains a wagie who accepted his fate as a wagie because he was too pussy to try being a hero without a quirk despite proof that many have done so or have beaten quirk users with weak or ineffective abilities. He jumps back to being a hero the first chance he gets because he hates his life and his deadend job.Didn't even get the girl after 8 fucking years?!?
>>285283337I maintain that no one would have had anything bad to say about the epilogue if Deku had started a Hero Agency rather than become a teacher. Unable to work on the front lines as a hero directly, but still very much involved in hero work and doing everything he could to save people with the skills and experience he had, and occasionally doing tasks that don't require quirks like helping to evacuate or treat civilians in a crises on top of his actual job which is providing direction and support. You can even still give him the support gear at the end as a payoff, but it gives Deku a sense of still acitvely pursuing his dream even if not in the way that he had originally wanted, and doing a job where he gets respect for what he has done along the way. Whereas his role as a teacher just feels... sad. There's nothing *wrong* with being a teacher, but everyone knows its not what he wants to be or do and it feels like society has largely forgotten him and his sacrifices that he made to save the world in the biggest villain uprising in history.
