Alcides' biggest flaw is his way of thinking, which greatly nerfs him. He could use the full power of Ares' belt by invading his body instead of just powering up his bow as Hippolyta demands or Tine analyzes, and he could have easily surpassed Hippo and Gil, but his contempt for the gods makes him willingly reject being stronger. Another example is not letting Huwawa's power enter his body, even though just by using it as he does, he is already on the verge of becoming the antithesis of Zeus.
