Sunrise don't seem to care about it at all any more. They've had plenty of opportunities with anniversaries or while dark magical girl stuff was really hot, but they clearly aren't interested.I suspect the Tate problem likely has something to do with it. They had to stuff him and Mai on a bus to make Otome work, but a reboot or a (non-20000-years-later) sequel would need Mai, having Mai means having to figure out what to do with him / how to make him fuck off, and why bother when you can just keep pumping out Love Live or trying to recapture Code Geass for the fiftieth time?
