I finally finished reading Venus Wars, I'm gonna be honest all the political stuff flew over my head and my favorite part was the crazy scientist doing crazy scientist things. Pic related was also kino. AT technology is used for massive mechas, cyborgs, catgirls. I guess my standards got dropped hard by some of the things I read but Nora and its cat parallels was a very welcome balm after too many "they're in love just because, err, they love each other." Ryu's Fool was the worst of the bunch, didn't like the characters and it's a deadend emotionally for me. There's a chapter in Necktie and Mantis that feels similar but way better, and I loved the sky in that one. Necktie and Mantis is great to read all at once and see how every couple connects in the setting, and the leg lock's fun. It took me until that one to realise she has a recurring age gap fetish and likes posing legs about in idle interactions. Yeah I went into Hanatori Kazetsuki not immediately clocking the little kid was gonna fuck his tutor by the end. Was a good time. Wish Magician of Room 306 had a continuation with romantic development but it was sweet nonetheless even if it repeats some of Hanatori's themes. Iori in Save Serious Talk for Later was really moe somehow.

To help with the feeling stuck thing you can try a style that is completely different than what you usually do. Maybe try something less realistic that is more forgiving when it comes to poses and stuff, like something cartoony/chibi-ish or maybe even lineless art since it's easier to correct mistakes or make changes. When I started drawing again my old realistic style would frustrate me, especially since my anatomy skills had deteriorated immensely, so I switched to only drawing chibis and animals. I've been feeling frustrated, but then I accidentally half an Oideyo and felt much better. Saru and Fumiya putting their arms round each other and tipping their heads back to laugh is great every time.
