Went through a few of the suggestions. I don't know how much the cleaners and TSers have done but I don't wanna delay them too much. So if they seem to be on standby by tomorrow night I'll do some finishing touches and let you guys work.
>>288669052I saw that the cleaning has been done here >>288663718I haven't checked the quality myself but I think it was the same guy who did most of it last time and it was good work. I haven't seen anything from the TSer who was going to be available before me but hopefully he can start tomorrow night after you do the finishing touches. I still wouldn't be able to chip in until Sunday afternoon.
>>288668914The manga.
I'm not touching the chapter until it's properly TL'd, but did Faputa actually get drawn this time or is she still a moeblob?
>>288669237she got drawn as whatever this is.
>>288669278what the fuck
This is the best chapter for Rikochads ever
Kids of the abyss.
>>288669432CUTE!hopefully Srajo keeps protecting their smiles and won’t doublecross them
>>288667362Faputa is evil
>>288667362>she>theyOhno, not this shit again...inb4 try to translate the sentences gender neutrallyit would sound weird to insert Nanachi into every sentence and it would go against the original text too
>>288669659just use "she" i dont get the autism some translators have to use the disgusting "they"
>>288669052Thank you TLAnon and Suggesters!>>288669151>the TSer who was going to be available before meAre you the one who said he won't have time until Sunday? I don't remember what did the other typesetter say.
>>288669237>but did Faputa actually get drawn this time or is she still a moeblob?Varied forms. Starts as the moeblob but later she looks more like in the earlier chapters. Mostly still fur covered but not ball form, and ears are shown and if I remember correctly on one panel the dark skin is shown too but no boobs I guess. I can't check it now,
>>288669675>in b4 Tsukushi trolls everyone with Nanapenis
>>288669659Use "he"
>>288669675Nanachi is a femboy
>>288669179Obviously hajime no ippo. Any weeb should at least learn kana, jesus.
This is the first time we got to see Riko's pee since they removed the fungus from her arm in the 4th layer.
>>288669675It is not autism. The original Japanese manga never revealed the gender. But Japanese people are lucky because they use gender neutral first person third so they do not care about the subect's gender. So characters can address Nanachi without mentioning boy or girl.In English for such cases when the gender is unknown people use "they".It’s not the language’s fault that certain idiots co-opted the pronoun for their own nonsense theories...If you abandon to us the world "they" and you abandon the original meaning then those faggots already won.
>>288669237>>288669798Barely any skin, but at least she looks like a bit more normal.
>>288670055I need Faputa to show her bare tits in full view again.I was hoping we'd get that a whole lot after the village, but we got ball instead.
I want to wear Marulk's pantsu as a mask...
Im sending you the clean once again in this thread.https://files.catbox.moe/e8p74w.rarhttps://files.catbox.moe/r37p1b.rarhttps://files.catbox.moe/njuah5.rarhttps://files.catbox.moe/bqnlqx.rarhttps://files.catbox.moe/bkk1y6.rar
>>288669963>In English for such cases when the gender is unknown people use "they".its disgusting, want something gender neutral just use "it"just use she, niggers
>>288670657Then do your shit and upload it to dex. Nobody forbids you to do an another English "translation" using AI. Now get out!
>>288670717>use "it"For a person the corret term is "they".
>>288670739no it isnt, they is plural, using it for a singular person is retarded and kills me inside every time some faggot uses it like that.Use "it" or "she", "they" is faggot talk.
>>288670739>>288670750>corret>isntI don’t think either of you should be talking about grammar
>>288670750It is "they", because the person can either be male or female. The word describes/defines 2 possibilities, so it is plurar.
>>288670832>The word describes/defines 2 possibilities, so it is plurar. No anon, thats not how that works>plurardude
Did Srajo talk about the story or the strange feeling?
>>288669659>>288669675I also wish we'd go back to calling Nanachi she i don't mind being wrong in the end if/when Tsukushi reveals what bun originally was.
>>288671020>I also wish we'd go back to calling Nanachi she i don't mind being wrong in the end if/when Tsukushi reveals what bun originally was.this, hope the TL guys stop with that retardation
>>288671020Oira>>288671040>TL guys stop with that retardationAs it was mentioned above, if you are not satisfied then do your own translation. Nobody forbids it. Let the current translator do as he wishes and if you do not like it then do not read.
>>288671067>Nobody forbids it.so i guess someone could just change the pronouns easily and upload to mangadex? anything to avoid faggotry like that.
>>288671084If TLAnon doesn't mind yes. In worst case he will stop tranlating after some idiot "steals" 99% of the translation. Go ahed, good job to lose or tranlator, the guy who actually cares to do it. Yes I know other Anon helps him out with suggestions, but he is detemined to concentrate the TL in one place. If you do not want it then ok, do an upload with she and her.
>>288671126anon your grammar is horrible, for fuck sake.
I’m all for “she” too, just like I’ve been for years, but tbsosu it’s no big deal if tlanon is a fan of progressive pronouns
>>288671188It kills the english for me, i hate the plural being used on a singular being
>>288671202Are you by any chance esl? I've already come to terms with it, even though it sounds wild in my native tongue too
>>288671260Sounds retarded in any language, english speakers need to accept that they dont have a singular gender neutral pronoun, faggots."It" sounds less disgusting if they are so desperate.
>>288670750>"they" is faggot talk. It's been around longer than the LGBTBBQ cult, you must be some combo of zoomer, Amerimutt or ESL to not know that>>288670722couldn't find a cope about how it's bad? lolyou should use AI
>>288671283lol so you are in fact ESL and getting triggered by making false assumptions about the English language. Retarded.
>>288671498Why are indians always so aggressive in their AI worship?Actual people don't like soulless slop that has a 60% chance of being hallucinated. How is that a hard concept to grasp?
Seems like the level of interaction is bery limited. Could it maybe be an idea to do a dump thread with the clean pages, or maybe just do it in this thread?
>>288669880Thanks (I guess)
>>288671067>OiraBy that logic, all the other characters are also theys.Plenty of girls use boku as their personal pronoun, and plenty of boys atashi, and this is all before the modern gener bullshit came into play.
>>288671737Indians were mindbroken by their caste system. As in, they are afraid to question their instructions. And they were told to love AI by their wealthy white owners.
>>288672052I guess that makes sense. It's probably also why linkdin drones were so quick to start trying to fellate it
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG* CAM ON TL JANNIES RELEASE DA FACKIN CHAPTER *BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
>>288670920The story Srajo told.
In the next chapter, Regu will be Nanachi's toilet and help her wipe her ass.
>you know what this manga needs?>more toilet scenesthe abbys will be revealed to be a giant toilet, screencap this
I don't get the point of Faputa post village
Now that Nanachi is in the bag, where did they put the rest of the supplements?
>>288672511Tsukushi forgot
>>288672446She can go anywhere without burden and can chill.
>>288669963>In English for such cases when the gender is unknown people use "they".When talking about theoretical persons, unknown persons, and strangers of undetermined sex. It has never been normal in English for someone to call their friend "they".
>>288672511Nisha probably carries them
I will forever use Nanachi, bun and he, check mate.
>>288672593Then how do they call that friend if they do not know the gender?
>>288672664>heOk
>>288672689You don't have friends that you don't know the sex of
>>288672749That friend did not tell.
>>288672770If you're talking about a person who you have never met before, and thus don't have any idea as to their sex. Then you would use they.I would however argue that you can't really call that a friend.
>>288667362I love my wife
>>288672446She's cute and Reg's sosuwife. Also I think she's just nerfed until they separate from Hail Hex because she's shy and cautious around strangers (especially adults).
>>288671020He's never going to reveal it.The blessed body is genderless (word of god) so it has no impact on the story.Which means she was male (every time gender is concealed, it is always male) but whatever who cares.
So the Miko has already figured out the "key"
>>288672689Prior to tranny nonsense, it was logistically improbable and culturally almost impossible to be friends with someone and not know their sex. Even with acquaintances, we guess. There are people I correspond with exclusively through email at work, and a few of them have names that could go either way. Myself and every other person I work with, man, woman, young, and old, all just guess one way or the other based on which way their name favors, how they write, and what little we know of their behavior. And then eventually they'll call someone and collapse the quantum superposition with their voice. We even do this with animals, despite most people being terrible at determining most animals' sex. Anyone who has ever had a cat or a dog knows that people would rather mistakenly call a female pet "he" or vice versa than call it an "it" or a "they". It even extends to livestock. I've heard goats with obvious udders called "he" many times, but rarely "it" and never "they". If MiA characters were native Anglophones, there would about a 50/50 split between people calling Meinya "he" vs "she" with maybe one or two people saying "it". It would be more male biased if not for her name and color. This is why people recoil at this use of singular they and would rather just guess and say "she". I am firmly in the leaving Nanachi's sex unspecified camp, and even I would rather see "she" than "they". The former would actually be closer to what people would do for someone they somehow knew as well as these characters know Nanachi without knowing her sex. Using "they" comes across as a more definitive state on gender, since it is only ever used in a context like this for people who insist on it based on some kind of weird gender identity.
>>288673119I'm guessing like the wish granting eggs multiple keys exist.
>>288673343I have used "he / she" and "he or she" a lot until around the mid 10s, at which point peer pressure and cultural osmosis forced me to switch to "they".
>>288673343It's kind of funny, me being an ESLfag means I have no issue calling pets "it" in my native language. It just feels natural. But whenever I switch to English I imidiately default to either male or female. It's as if calling a dog it almost demeans it when you're in front of it
>>288652640>Gotta tell Reg!lmao
TWO 50 PAGE CHAPTERS IN 3 MONTHS?!Did Tsukushi's publisher get on him on something? This NEVER happens
>>288673710He's got a quota to meet because of the movie deal.
>>288673731That's probably yea, but still, holy shit
>>288673784Shame a new splatoon game is about to come out and steal all of his motivation.
>>288672441But how can Abyss be a giant toilet, if this is what the bottom looks like?
>>288669765>Are you the one who said he won't have time until Sunday? I don't remember what did the other typesetter say.Yes. My sister is graduating university today (with a PHD) so I'm celebrating with my family today. Tomorrow I'm hanging out with some friends that have been trying to get together for 3 months now. Normally I'd push plans off to help with this, but not this time. The other guy said he'd be available so I'm asuming that meant today and tomorrow. But we'll see. I don't mind working on this on Sunday if I have to.
>>288674061You better have a good time faggot.
>>288673916bacteria grow in fertile soil
>>288671283as a native English speaker, "they" is perfectly acceptable as a non gendered pronoun.>>288672593yeah, but it's also never been normal to have a friend that's a genderless being covered in fur.that being said, I prefer "she" because that's what I think she originally was.
I love nnaa-person's new ponytail so much
>>288674105I will, thanks. I'm getting drunk.
>>288669432Who is this happy Bun, and what has she done with my somber and sardonic Nnaaa
>>288674512The retardachi jokes ended up half true. She suffered just enough brain damage to cure her depression.
>>288674061Don't worry and enjoy the weekend!PS. Congrats to your sister!
>>288674188>as a native English speaker, "they" is perfectly acceptable as a non gendered pronoun.I accept this as an ESL. But maybe you feel this is normal because you were already tought like this. Depends on your age of course. For a 50 years old it might be strange, for a 20 years old it is natural, normal. Don't get me wrong, I do not judge.
>>288674512Nanachi did overcome this problem after meeting Reg and Riko and defeating Bondrewd and experienced the values in the village. The bun is no longer depressed and suicudal.
>>288674617maybe, but I don't think so. if I was "taught" it, it was by my parents, who are in their 50s. as far as I can tell it's just normal, but like someone else pointed out itt, it's usually used to refer to people you don't know.
>>288674732You do not understand who you are arguing with. That anon thinks >if LGBTBBQ+- people use a word it becomes "their word" and now you must boycott the word to own the tranniesTHAT is the argument here. Stupid or not. You missed the point.
>>288674789I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. he hasn't said that yet so I'm not going to make assumptions.
>>288671126In the original TL thread Nanachi is a she. Its here that the faggotry starts.
>>288674923The previous /a/non TL? Because in the official publication they also avoid gendered pronouns for nanachi
>>288674645I didn't say depressed or suicidal. I said somber and sardonic. Those are not mutually exclusive
>>288674789Lying like this is just an admission that you know you're wrong.
>>288674947>Because in the official publication they also avoid gendered pronouns for nanachiHow? Does Jake reconstruct the sentences?
>>288675004The extra 5 months they take is just to restructure all the sentences.
>>288675004>>288675068WUTDoes he literally put Nanachi, the fluffy one, etc. into the sentences to avoid pronouns?
>>288675101If he does, then that's based and I'm willing to forgive his retarded spellings and names.
You people all failed Tsukushi.
>>288675193this is old, he's already confirmed that nanachi post blessing is genderless
>>288675193>Let's imagineHe's basically trying to tell people to decide whatever gender THEY want Nanachi to be
>>288675193We all imagine but some idiot cannot respect other's imagination.
>>288674923A different translator worked on it back then. Our current guy doesn't want to do that (and hasn't since chapter 52) because it's less accurate to the Japanese version, which has a more natural way of handling sex ambiguity for a character's who's sex is made intentionally ambiguous by the author. Throwing this bitchfit every time isn't going to change anything. Now TLanon did say that he would try to avoid they/them as much as possible by using Nanachi's name in the script as a compromise. So hopefully he can try to do that as much as possible for the final draft of the TL. I prefer female pronouns for Nanachi personally but my job is to put the provided translation on the pages, not dictate things like this.
>>288675193I haven't failed him. I have never wavered from my stance that all pronouns be avoided for Nanachi. Which is how you would communicate unkown sex in English in this context.
>>288674988Hello anon, I hope this day you are more depressed than usual.
Nanachi's fat pussy or cozy ballsack!
>>288675248I understand but putting Nanachi into the sentences goes against the original ones. There is no good solution because the logics of the two languages are different.
>>288674923You mean?>she was coughing in blood>>288652416
>>288675193>TL note: Nanachi is obv a girl, but if you're a turbo gay nigger homo faggot, you can imagine the opposite
>>288675384While I agree I also think this is unfair to Tsukushi's vision since he likes little girls AND little boys
>>288675193>Using shePatrician>Using heDaring but fun >Using theyAbsolute herd behavior, zero creativity and as such, neutered
>>288675353>putting Nanachi into the sentences goes against the original onesIt retains the semantic meaning. And better than using any pronouns. The problem is that excessive use of a person's name sounds unnatural in English. But I think if there's no good way to reword a sentence to avoid a pronoun while retaining the rest of the meaning that a bit of unnatural sounding name repetition is the least bad option.
>>288652791>those eyes… are looking forward……!More like a positive outlook. Eyes filled with hope, bright-eyed.>>288652939The last sentence is basically anastrophe of the idiom やれるだけやる ~ do whatever one can. "We were able to come to a place where all we can do is DO." in a literal way. Basically all that they can do is advance.
>>288675557Thanks for feedbacks. Hopefully TLAnon will read them.Would you consider to tell these suggestions in the google document?
>>288668114This guy has been reposting this image and this post 844 times over nearly 10 years.
>>288675719Pretty impressive.

That you would doubt my dedication and chalk it up to some automated process. Foolish.
>>288677514How often do other anons do it instead?

>>288669028
>>288669659>>288669675Just call her SHE. It’s not that hard or big a deal but it does sound better than they
>>288677514
>>288677657If you haven't noticed Tsukushi has an obsession with smells, also waste excretion. Not a proper chapter of MiA without Riko huffing some furry creature and pissing/shitting, this time was no exception
>>288677657Smells are memories
>>288672746Except those are girl clothes. Pink shoes and all.
>>288678067that's because he's a genius auteur and his works include factors that trascend the conventions of the media
>>288678067>Tsukushi has an obsession with smellsNot just Tsukushi. Looks like it is a Japanese thing. A lot of xitter users write about smelling chicken, birds or things.
>>288678138Nanachi wore anything what was in the junkyard.
>>288677853Sorry, the translator values activism more than readability. No gendered pronouns allowed. This shit ruins a lot of manga. See: the official translation of Houseki no Kuni. All the characters are "they", which makes reading it near incomprehensible.
>>288678467Yes, but Tsukushi is fixated to an unusual degree, even by Japanese standards.
Focusing on smells in fiction is dumb because you cannot portray it. Manga is a visual medium, so it means nothing. Faputa "smelling like the sun" sounds like schizo nonsense.
>>288678501And yet..>boys wear boy cloths.>girls wear girl cloths
>>288678538>which makes reading it near incomprehensible.Only if you are a retard.
>>288678591Could you visualize a spinning apple for me?
>>288678591You have never heard of being descriptive in literature?
>>288678591Use your imagination.
>>288678600Bro, try reading it. When everybody is plural you have no idea if somebody is referring to a person or a group, or even which person they're talking about. They also murder sentence structure by constant insertions of "that gem".
>>288678591The smell of the sun is the smell of laundry dried in the sun, you uncultured swine
>>288678800No it's just what a sunny day smells like
>>288678678I agree with this. Even dumb shit like neopronouns or using the name is better for singular."They are over there with them.""Xe is over there with them.""Nanachi is over there with them."Last is best.
>>288678813No, that's exactly what I said, go ask the nips yourself
>>288678591Do you go outside?
>>288678813>>288678842Sunny days smell differently depending on where you are and the time of the year. The sun doesn't have a smell. It's a nonsense phrase in English.
>>288678897>The sun doesn't have a smellIt does though
>>288678591how would you feel if you didn't eat breakfast this morning?
>>288678929Yes but you cannot experience it because of space.
>>288679026If I said "ozone" could you accept she smells like ozone?
>>288679252Maybe
It's been easy to avoid spoilers in these last couple of threads. Must have been a cute-but-nothing-happens chapter
>>288679656The bun is in a bag, the journey continues, and the nuggies have five days left. Other than that it's just speculation by Riko and Prushka about the bottom of the abyss, the pendant, and Lyza. Oh, and Nisha takes fat shits.
>>288679656I forgot. Riko's whistle won't work on Nanachi. But apparently it could have if she wasn't already soul bonded to Mitty.
>>288670290I checked through them, while I do appreciate it, bubble cleaning is the ultra easy thing which takes 5 seconds. The annoying things to clean that take time, ie the chapter title, are left undone. I'll work on these as well then
>>288678591Smell is an underrated description. Descriptions of smell carry a deceptively high density of information compared to sight or sound. Obviously this is a manga, so we can see the characters and places. But imagine if this were a book. One sentence on a layer's smell would do more to set the scene than a paragraph of visual descriptions.
>>288679656Faputa examined Rikos holes

>>288681761wait, this is the more common expression https://massif.la/ja/search?q=お日様の匂い
Has Tsukushi ever specified what Nanachi smells like other than good? Or is it one of those "beyond description" sorts of things?
One of the typesetters here, I admit I didn't do as much the first day, was busier than expected. And, I heed TL anons words to not put the WIP fully on the cleaned pages, but usually by now I would've gone through the pages and set out styles, cleaned up anything missed and had a general idea how to handle the SFX. But, so far only went through like a quarter. Gonna sleep now, when the TL is more ready for the first draft means I can to a bulk of work tomorrow, and leave the finishing touched to the other TSer on sunday. He might need to tweak more things than usual.
>>288675493Anon......... THEY are under your bed RIGHT NOW.
>>288675719Newfag, eternal newfag. Reposting shit has been a part of 4chan culture since the beginning.
>>288682266
>>288682266Well they did make the official Nanachi smell perfume.
>>288672446I hate the moeblob transformation when she was super menhera during the village. It feels like her personality was neutered. I want to see her be intense again.
>>288675224He's clearly talking about Nanachi's original gender not whether the blessed body's sexual characteristics.
>>288678596Yet this manga has femboys. You know the answer Anon, Tsukushi likes both girls and boys, and he made it like this so people talk and so they imagine whatever they want, that's the entire answer, he'll never say it, if Nanachi was 100% a girl he wouldn't have caused this whole discussion, it's always going to be open.
>>288679656These chapters are great in the grand scheme of things, when reading everything in one go.
>>288670739I dont give a flying fuck about your delusional tranny grammar, either use he/she and him/her, or get lost and dilation elsewhere
>>288683231>Encouraging avatarfaggotry and calling me a newfagEvery time with these faggots.
>>288682729No worries dude. I'll try not to be too hung over, no promises though.
>>288675193Its also sad because prior to this tweet, Nanachi was pretty much a girl. I get that Tsukushi is a huge pervet and just wanted us to have fun. But the tranny bandwagon is bad faith incarnate and they wasted no time in claiming the "muh genderless" bullshit. Japanese media is truly incompatible with the west
>>288683824It's the /pol/fags that make a big deal about it because they get triggered that some people choose to believe Nanachi is [whatever] instead of a cis female when the author intended people to literally make it up. Those culture war fags have been a plague on this board for too long. Pay attention to whenever the LGBTRQ topic comes up, it's always /pol/fags being triggered and bringing it up, other Anons don't care and don't bring it up.
>>288667362Sad to see this series go the way of HxH
>>288667362what a strange looking creature
