Not legitimate criticisms no matter how much you complain. Saberfags lost, DEEN/Stay Night is the only adaptation the Fate route will ever get, and the best you can hope for is getting an Avalon le Fae anime one day. It's time to let go and move on.

The Nasi/Urobuchi friendship makes a lot of sense. The themes that interest them and their approach to structuring the relationships between characters are very, very similar.

As such, FZ does a nice job of building on the themes of FSN but ultimately fails to reach the same heights, in part I think because of the limitations of the medium.

But at the level of dialogue Urobuchi is so vastly superior it's crazy.

It was the best fate adaptation we had back in the day, even though they butchered all the best parts

On its own merits it's a good show.
The problem is it's tonally inconsistent with the main series, and it doesn't make sense as a stand-alone.
I guess disliking Fate/zero is mostly just an autism thing
