>>291470318It seems like there's an underlying theme here about how the fact that people aren't one-dimensional characters makes it difficult to truly know who they are. From Miko's perspective Taiki is both this somewhat menacing father-like figure who is teaching him about the real world and at the same time a deeply broken man who needed to flee from the real world and who is unable to deal with a women openly throwing herself at him. A lot of the tension building up seems to be based around the different characters struggling, and usually failing, to figure out the motivations that are driving the others. This applies to almost every character we've seen so far:Taiki and his ex, Roka and Miko, Roka and his sister, Momiji and Miko, Momiji and Roka, Miko and his parents/sister.
