If you were losing money, why would you ever sell? I'm being serious here. Lets say you invested $100 in something that immediately started tanking. Well, your losses are only $100 if you never cash out. You might as well just forget about the investment and come back to it in like 15 years when it'll probably have turned into a profit

>>291498808
This anime is trading FX on leverage which you need to pay interest on. That will completely fuck you by holding it.
If you are talking about stocks there is a good chance your company can go bankrupt, get delisted, or lose money for 20 years straight.
Both of things aside holding a loser has opportunity cost and you're better off cutting them unless you have a seriously good reason to believe in them.

start by selling options
it's not a good strategy but it's safe (don't sell naked) and you will get comfortable with options doing it
then you can move on to buying or more complicated setups like condors and butterflies if you want but you will mostly just lose money
>>
>>291499508

day trading isn't investing. it's literally just gambling with extra steps. any profit a day trader makes comes at the expense of another day trader
and the type of person that gambles routinely don't have an exit strategy stop working once they hit a certain amount. they're just addicted and lying to themselves about how much money they're wasting. there wouldn't be a trillion dollar industry built around gambling otherwise.

The point of leverage is that you can multiply your gains for a fee and risk on positions you are confident in. You can easily 3x or even 10x your profits using leverage. You should, in principle only use it on positions you are 100% confident in.
But of course, if you put your money where your mouth is, are you not 100% confident? That's the line of thinking.

>maybe like big companies with actual business plans and professionals handling it need to take on debt
No, even institutional investors do tend to blow up from time to time due to being overleveraged and being forced to close their positions at a huge loss.

Because generating alpha is extremely difficult, almost impossible to do over the course of years or even decades unless you're a firm that can employ mathematicians who model your shit for you. Most good daytraders, the well known ones at least have one extremely good year where they generate their career peak ROI which is never replicated since the markets are always changing and strategies dont last forever. Like, you make 50 million one year leveraging hard and then spend the next 5 years losing 5 million, winning 10 million, losing 7 million etc etc

See, leverage trading isn't a very traditional loan. Your broker cannot cannot hound you for 5 years to recollect it. Nor do they want to, because debt collection is expensive, and might not work out.

Yet the broker offers the loan for 0 interest rate. And they want to make damn sure that you're going to pay it back, because if you don't, the broker loses money. Therefore when you get your leveraged trading permission, and you sign the contract, there is a clause.
>If Your unrealised losses from leveraged trading exceed 90% of your margin, the broker may close Your leveraged positions without Your express permission. You agree that any losses arising from this are solely Your responsibility.
This clause is the only reason leveraged trading can exist in the form that it does. It ensures that the broker CANNOT (Unless the market crashes so quickly that the broker fails to make back the loan during liquidation. That's why margin requirements are higher when trading more volatile assets.) lose money from the loan. If this didn't exist, we would be back to having to pay interest on the loan and having debt collectors sent after you if you lose it like a retard.

Some whale buys a massive position, sending the candle instantly up which triggers the auto buy for many people, then sell to crasg the prices back and short the falling the knife as millions of positions trigger stop losses.

Rabbits are associated with fertility, it's currently spring in the southern hemisphere, the season of blooming, and fall in the north, fall means preparing for hard times. Do not buy if you're in the north, buy if you're in the south (and make sure to use a differen't bill when buying).

If you enter into large positions. The markets hunt for obvious liquidity stops at highs and lows so just wait for a swing high or low from the last 24 hours to be swept before price action moves in the opposite direction. US futures are a perfect illustration of this before, this is NQ's price action from yesterday. London session hours were tapped in NY AM session and then price just tanked for the rest of the day.

It's called prop firms. Most are shady so stick to the reputable ones if you have access to the American markets. However many are very strict now so you should only buy accounts with them once you are fully comfortable with your trading strategy that you think can work long term (at least a few months), backtesting, stop placements/take profits and aren't a degenerate monkey when you lose.

Aside from its using in game engines and other things, C++ is genuinely a very badly designed language that isn't worth learning unless you have a specific reason to learn it for something in particular.

Pure C is easier to learn and more generally useful, especially when analysis/generation tools exist.
>>
>>291511220
C++ as originally conceived (C with objects) was mostly useful as an abstraction.
But it's been garbage since C++13 when the developers of the boost library got involved with the standards-making committee and started bloating the standards library with junk and treating the language like it should be compiled Java. To make matters worse, this shit has been leaking back into C.
I literally refuse to compile my C code as anything past C17. It's that bad.

I am too much of a brainlet, why do they panic to begin with if it's shit like currencies whose worth always falls and rises again unless the country gets dragged into a total war or something? The mother could have just waited.
>>
>>291511639
She was leveraged, which is basically taking a loan and over time interest grows so you dont have the luxury of waiting.
>>
>>291511639
>The mother could have just waited.
she couldn't though, she was trading on margins so if it gets too low it's automatically sold and thus she lost the money she invested and gained debt she needed to repay to payback the losses greater than that
>>
>>291511473
I thought C++ knowledge translated to C and isn't vibe coding the source of all sorts of problems?

>>291511770
With C23? No. C23 is actually backwards incompatible with several things that are legal in C17, so you can't just let the compiler do whatever, you actually have to pass -std=c17 or the like.
>>
>>291511770
>I thought C++ knowledge translated to C
It mostly does, but C++ is so much more unnecessarily complex in ways that make it harder to both learn and reason about (virtually nobody actually understands most of the language for real), and using it pretty much forces you to code in a completely different style, where far more 'hidden stuff/exceptions' occur than what you'd do in C.

>isn't vibe coding the source of all sorts of problems?
Yes. Vibe coding is bad, but leveraging tools smartly to multiply your work is extremely helpful given you understand it and what you're doing.

>>
>>291512488
>leverage doesn't have interest
it does.
>you just agree to sell right before a loss would put you into outright debt
its called margin call. If in some magical force the price freeze the interest would still grow and the line would go up until you get margin called/liquidated.
I simply simplified it because, in his words, he's a brainlet so I kept it simple.

I shan't be watching the misery porn
>>
>>291512410
Red on roulette has fixed odds (48.65% to double your money European style, 47.37% American style), while Forex only "works" because no one knows the actual odds. I seriously doubt you'd be able to predict with 50%+ accuracy a country that's gonna double their currency worth compared to another one, so yes, all in on red is genuinely a smarter choice
>>
But isn't leverage absolutely halal and actually makes money? It’s literally a booster rather than a debt since it won’t go to zero unless some weird shit happens, like what probably happens in a later episode?
>>
>>291512643
It's less less "I feel so bad I can't stop watching" and more "lol RIP bozo" so far. I can only hope it reaches Sangeki's level of comedy.
>>
>>291512655
Actually if everyone uses astrology (technical analysis) the price gets predictable unless theres a massive news that increases volatility
>>
>>291512752
Predictable to what odds?
>>
>>291512655
Except that the roulette table has magnets and if a sucker like you goes all-in on red, they make sure it lands on black.
>>
>>291512655
>Red on roulette has fixed odds
>while Forex only "works" because no one knows the actual odds
yet people still play roulette. either the people in fx have a reason to believe they have better odds or they they're going to gamble regardless of them

>>291512410
also roulette is generally considered the best entertainment value because of the slow game pace mild odds means you lose money slower. assuming you don't go all in.
>>
>>291512884
Get a friend to go all on in black, and another friend to go all in on snake eyes, now at least one of you wins
>>

spend enough time around traders and you'll never feel bad for them
>>
>>291512927
genious strategy honestly, hisshouhou
>>
>>291512884
Only happens on shadier casinos, the rules are already stacked in favor of the house, there's no need to cheat on top of that. That's why there are betting limits, in a fair roulette, if you bet 100 million on red, the casino still has at least a 47.37% chance of having to pay out 100m, which is too much risk
>>291512926
Yeah, because no one knows the real odds, they come up with strategies and think they have good odds
>>
>>291500910
Every form of economy values risk taking in some form or fashion.

It's just the movie Uncut Gems but for retard daytraders and with cute anime girls. The point of these sorts of stories is watching someone who would otherwise be completely fine if they stayed away from gambling totally ruin their lives. At the midpoint of the story they always get a chance out, which they fuck up because at the end of the day they're just lowly addicts and you can't reason with them.

I think it actually skews the other direction and a lot of posters are unusually poor. Likely because there's a lot more non-US traffic than there used to be.
