ASH suspends she is more than just a giant water amoeba with telepathy, rather, she’s a big dick Boss monster, a Leviathan, a many eyed slime that can get as big as a planet. The Blob was a Ugly Duckling situation, Leviathans leave their young to be raised by Giant Amoebas. They leave the planet on a good spaceship. They get attacked by Metal Gremlins, a playable race of vacuum-proof, metal eating nomads. They beat them, but must land on a planetoid. Cont.

ASH evolves into a infamous form, highly divisive between fans, a Hydralisk crossed with a Centipede. Alas, the Blob gets kidnapped by Leviathan worshipping Fish People, on the other side of the Jungle planet. The Fish People (begrudgingly, they are racist) work alongside unscrupulous human scientists and they want to experiment on The Blob. They bust the Blob out, but the underwater facility starts to flood. Turns out, the Blob’s cries for help were sensed by an adult Leviathan. I stopped reading after that. I still have 300+ chapters and that’s only the translated ones.

They do somewhat ruin it with a Constellation “Prestige System” that is very Chinese, but there is an ending. That I can confirm. Unlike Overlord, no matter how many Boss Monsters the Amorph Pro recruits, he is still a solo player, he is still the Thing. He eats and evolves, until he is perfect. And even if the ending isn’t the consequences of Ascension, do you want to miss out on hot monster romance between The Thing and The Blob? With adopted son Dragon and really sad, really lonely, really scared Gryphon lady?
