I live in a third world country where quality mental health treatment is hard to find. However, I got diagnosed with ADHD and was given Concerta 36 mg ER.
I stayed on it for two weeks before my parents had a falling out with my therapist who was overcharging them and I never went back to her. My father flushed down the concerta and I never came across any psychiatrist who would agree to get me back on it.
I have always had self-discipline issues. I eat a lot, I am addicted to energy drinks for fucks sake.
No matter how many times I set out to stop doing the bad things that I do, study more, eat less, etc, I would just go back to my old state within a week.
I am 24.
Is it over? Are there any medication-free ways to change my life, or should I just accept the cards I've been dealt?

Bump
I wanna know too

Yeah... Look your brain is made of fat. Most of it is omega-3 fats, EPA and DHA, also a lot of saturated fats.
If you aren't eating a load of these things, you get mental issues. People with mental health problems do a lot better when they bump up the fat intake a lot, and drop down the sugar and carb intake a lot.

OP here
More info pls?
So, should I take OMEGA 3 pills instead of Prozac?
Can you tell me what to do in great detail? I am willing to try anything at this point (that's drug-free)

How do you motivate yourself or what convinces you to do things or stop doing them? If you know yourself well enough, you can trick yourself into accomplishing goals or creating routines or rewarding yourself for proper behavior. I don't have adhd, but there were a few things that did work for me if they were my only option to create good habits.
>try changing the energy drinks you like using another drink/similar flavor, or trying healthier options of that drink
>if you can't drive force yourself to walk or ride bike everywhere
>do you notice gradual changes or adapt better to cold turkey strategy? figure out how to use your personal quirks to change your small habits

If you're not eating a lot of fish, eggs then adding omega-3 supplements will help. It's been proven in school trials.
e.g. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25790022/
We've been told over the last 30-40 years that fat=bad. So people have dropped their fat intakes a lot and mostly replaced it with carbs.
We'll it turns out fat=bad is bullshit, and reducing fat intake causes a shit ton of problems, including mental health ones because the brain needs it so much.
So stop the sugar and carb intake and eat fish, eggs, add supplements instead.

Fish and eggs take a lot of animal suffering to produce

You can study Buddhism and meditate. There are books, ebooks, dharma talks in audio and video online, and online sanghas, and probably also local sanghas. Make sure to do a background check on any sangha (and their tradition of Buddhisn) you're considering to visit:
Diet is also smart. Omega-3 supplements help the body reinforce the blood-brain barrier which results in less "thought noise". B12 supplements are often dosed way too high (the ones I got in a rush are dosed at 4000x the conventionally necessary daily intake, ridiculous) but it's quite easy to notice when you're getting too much of it, and difficult to notice when you're not.
Organic virgin coconut oil (and MCT oil) are Nice for stable energy. Just cook with them and don't heat them long. (In a soup you can heat them indefinitely, it's only when you fry with them e.g. at high temperstures that they degrade.)

Depends how you source them.
However, EPA and DHA are essential fats which are not available in plant food sources at all, and ALA converts at rates of only 1-2%.
Fact is, humans eat animals and cannot live for very long without doing so. A few years only before we begin to experience degeneration; suffering from autoimmune problems, gastrointestinal problems, skin problems, brain issues, bone and teeth problems.

>EPA and DHA are essential fats which are not available in plant food sources at all
This is a lie, it's in algae and has been available in oil capsule form.
>Fact is, humans eat animals and cannot live for very long without doing so.
Pseudoscience. You're obviously partisan on this issue.

> algae
You seem to think our ancestors were ancient rock lickers.
> Pseudoscience.
No, vegans for example degenerate over about a decade as their body cannibalises itself due to lack of nutrition.
Their brains and so mental health especially suffer.

Based.

>I am 24.
>Is it over?
Lol fuck off retard, you are like a baby.

The tl;dr is, stop looking for excuses, "im le addicted", I'm ADHD", "I live in the third world" etc. etc. This is just pity bullshit. There is no magic trick that will turn your life around. Either do the work or don't. If you don't, nobody is going to give a fuck. Other people are trying to deal with their own failure and bullshit excuses. This isn't what you want to hear but it's what you need to hear.

Ignore all the other gay shit and in this thread and stick to the basics, quality sleep, exercise, lift weights, drink water, eat meat and dairy, don't fall for any vegan psyop shit, turn off the news, turn off the fear porn, ignore "experts", don't take pills. Take chances. Seize opportunities. Or don't.

I have ADHD too and struggled with this all my life, I'd give advice but I don't think it would be good advice considering I'm an absolute loser.
>>
>>31129659(Me)
I'm actually curious if anyone here with ADHD would want to have kids? Mine has been such a hinderance to my life that I think its better that I don't.

It's not genetic and it doesn't even exist.
>>
>>31129718
It runs in famiies, how can it not be genetic?
>>

Modern society is all kinds of fucked up. Humans aren't meant to work boring bullshit repetitive jobs for 50 hours a week and sit in traffic for hours every day. These are symptoms of sick society not sick people.

They will poison your mind with ANY reason to not reproduce. Population reduction is the number one motivation behind all psyops. They will encourage you to deny the one thing that can give your life true meaning.
They want us to suffer and your current thinking plays right into their hands.
>>
>>31129261
>repeating "no meat = malnutrition" and citing years old alternative news sources
Weak. I'd call you a shill if carnists didn't routinely have defective reasoning processes. Useful idiot.
>>
>>31129776
This is a very long winded way of saying its genetic.q

All you have to do is look at any long term vegan anon.
walking skeletons, bad skin, hair falling out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOfE3peL1QE
It's a cult.
In fact people who left the cult are trying to deprogram current victims like yourself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlM9apL8W5o
You want to know where veganism comes from anon?
It comes from religious lunatics.
7th Day Adventists. They created the American Diatetics Association about 100 years ago and they have been using it to push veganism ever since.
They believe meat causes lustful thoughts. lol.
How does it feel to be the victim of a religious cult anon?

Why are you trying to save genetic dead ends who most likely hate you and your point of view? Let them rot, let them suffer, let them die. The most hilarious thing is that they are doing it to themselves.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-MH6xuz39s
These girls make a good point, these people hate you and they would cheer as the watch you die. Return the favor in kind.

*yawn*, that branch of the plague that is Christianity doesn't even exist in my country, I'm not some mutt displaced from my ancestral homeland whoms living in a colony on bloody soil together with niggers and Mexicans. I'm not a victim but keep coping.
