For both genders, if a hot person you were mid about starts liking you, you'll probably start liking them back. If a mid person you felt meh about starts liking you, if they seem tolerable and you got no better options rn, there's a reasonable chance you'll start liking them back. If you were mid about them and they're ugly, unless you're desperate odds are you won't like them back and if anything will start limiting your interaction with them. Or if someone with down syndrome starts crushing on them, you won't think they're disgusting or anything, but you don't wanna hurt their feelings and don't want to lead them on. I do believe women would tend to feel more of an ick than guys would though.Unless you're a really weird person he isn't fond of being around, I doubt most men will start disliking a girl he wouldn't want to date because she started showing interest. It's the same as for guys where men have to take that leap of faith to ask a girl out; they have to be prepared to face the consequences of rejection if it happens
