hello guys, I have been fascinated by the fact that we produce trash on a daily basis and just throw them away for free. My idea would be to go house to house pick up trash, use a few robots and recycle the aluminum and other metals and make a fortune. Maybe I can even expand and use your food waste to feed cattle. I think that would be one of the most revolutionary idea there has to be. I wanted some advice from some anons on how likely would you give me your trash if I randomly started sending trucks to collect them from you. Ofcourse everthing would be HUSH-HUSH from the government. Cant have them snooping in on my trash and stealing my metals. I am not going to lie I am actually hoping people do the cliche and accidently throw away their rings so we can "recycle" them as well. I did a few interviews with leading experts on this on youtube and they said it was a great idea. I hope you all think the same!

Here in Brazil we have trash collectors, they go with their handmade wagons and collect trash from the streets and from apartment buildings, specially plastic and metals, and then take them to government recycling stations. I even helped one of them out by helping them put an old broken fridge I had on their wagon.Two things, though: Don't expect a fortune if you intend to follow the same business model as them, they don't own a lot by doing this, and second, some people might not like you messing with their trash. During a low period of my life when I was deep in the throes of alcoholism I started a "buisness" where I basically picked up free shit offered on facebook marketplace as well as going to nice neighborhoods on their "bulk day" for trash and pickup up the good stuff. I would then sell the shit at my house by having a "garage sale" on a bi weekly basis. I actually made way more money doing this than you would believe. It was also really fun. I would drink whiskey and coffee and talk bullshit with all the people who came to my garage. Just sitting on my ass and drinking and having people give me money for shit I got for free. It was pretty dope but I think I was probably going to get in some type of bullshit from city hall for having a garage sale constantly.

Get access to the good trash by being a service in their lives that works as expected. Position your non-profit as an environment-friendly alternative and you can get all sorts of grants. Put yourself on the board of directors with a fancy title + salary to match.

What i can do is offer reassurances that we recycle mst things and burn the others so nothing gets collected.
