I need help with a chronic disease and I'm apparently harder to treat than most patients. I read something on the internet that stuck out to me a few weeks ago>A great patient-doctor partnership comes from investing in the relationship by being an exceptional patient - the kind of patient our doctors want to go the extra mile for. This is very achievable.Well I fucking hate having to do that. I am neurodivergent and don't want to have to be likeable.I remember when I was at my first job and so scared of getting fired over some perceived slight, and wanting my boss to like me. I even pretended to be less smart just in case. I hated that so much. I never wanted to have to be liked by someone, ever again, but here we are.I don't mean that I don't want anyone to like me, but that I don't want to *have* to be liked by someone specifically, btw.Anyway. For example, on friday, I asked my doctor a question on the patient portal and he hasn't responded yet, and I have to DM him again because a med isn't working. I don't use the patient portal a lot, maybe once after each appointment at most (like if a med doesn't work or I have a question about treatment). But, like I said, I am neurodivergent. I know how irrational normies can be. Maybe he'll see two questions in a row and will think that I DM him multiple times per day and I am an annoying patient he doesn't want to go the extra mile for.Fuck this I wish I was just rich. I loathe people. But here we are, so, what do I do frens? I know people on 4chan get me at least
