Why do people keep saying this animal is trash? The Cheetah is literally the fastest animal on the planet, that makes it far better and superior than a Lion in my opinion.

You fuckers are ignoring the fact that cheetah-like felids have independently and convergently evolved to be extremely fast terrestrial predators several times with the American cheetah and the Giant cheetah to name a few. So again, tier zoo sucks and is a hack, there are no OP creatures, there are no low tier creatures. Things work until they don't and there's little inbetween since niches and environments fluctuate which leads to different means of surviving while some more specialized animals get left behind.

If they're stressed enough they won't drink or eat enough which can cause all sorts of problems, particularly with their kidneys. So many zoos pair cheetah cubs with dogs so that the cheetah can reference their own response off of the dog's and not be an anxious wreck all day. It works surprisingly well actually, and the paired cheetahs tend to have way less trouble with crowds and people than the solo ones.

>>4785276Nope. If anything the dogs occasionally bully the cheetahs, but that's also rare. Cheetahs really aren't big on mauling things. Their claws are blunted and non-retractible, so they're basically only used to help them with traction while running really fucking fast, and their teeth aren't really big enough to rip into things the way that a lion or tiger could. They generally kill their prey by clamping down on the throat and cutting off oxygen until the prey suffocates for those exact reasons. I'm also pretty sure that that the dog would win if it actually came down to a knock down drag out fight. But that's never been an issue since they're socialized and raised together basically from birth.
