No you dont need a 4,000 pound light armored vehicle aka Toyota/Honda/Ford/Chevy shitbox just to move a 200 pound person and maybe a few dozen pounds of cargo.Modern cars are like using an axe to trim your fingernails. Think about it.And if we were mostly zipping around in smallish affordable transportations doing one way trips that average 11 miles the elites would not have nearly the argument for depopulation.Make it make sense. There are dozens of examples. Very lightweight vehicles since 2001 that for whatever reason never made it to market or produced extremely few examples then the company went bust. Despite a whole lot of interest in efficient vehicles.
