Women were just sociologically and emotionally encouraged to approach problems. Combine that with an underlying desire to problem solve and our inherent humanity and sociality towards one another meant that we direct resources towards those we see as needing it. From a universal stance such as raising our young, to helping the hurt and defending the weak. But as the modern zeitgeist has shifted towards this darwinistic fuck you got mine, and we're all so dissociated from active agency because our society is so.. i want to say specialized. Doctor's deal with medicine, science with science, lawyers with law, etc. it's separated us from the process of actively engaging with what enhances or lives. So people have sort methods that suit our society.. currency so to speak. So you put that all together and assuming the victim status is a manner of gaining currency or power. It is largely women that do it because it's their area of expertise so to speak. But it's not limited to them or their specific domain or inherent to them just because they have a vagina.Problem being because our structures are so fucked and we often overlook the ethical implications in favor of the objective ones, economic achievement being justification for immoral acts for instance. This isn't seen as bad behavior. Until people achieve less unethical structures for granting social currency, it'll continue. Though i suppose awareness does lower its efficacy as we can exert some personal choice in the matter. But ultimately it is people that feel powerless, picking the most effective way to achieve that because other avenues are cut off. And also, there is a particular validity to people's victimhood that still deserves careful deference.
