Considering Canada is surprisingly so liberal it’s kind of surprising that they’re so antagonistic and ill intended towards me. You would think they would be more understanding or tolerant towards me, it doesn’t really make sense. There’s news stories about Americans wanting asylum in Canada or trying to immigrate there, and I can see somewhat how seeing the warning signs of Trump could cause them to plan ahead for when it might actually get really bad. But it’s still sort of bizarre to me. I probably shouldn’t say it, but one impression I got from WW2 was that the left was like almost an outright war for some places. I couldn’t go out late at night for sure like I used to because these new people would wander around town too.
