Are German or Russian worth learning? What uses can you give to those languages nowadays?

Reading texts in the original language and traveling seems to be good reasons to consider studying them worth. It would be worth to read the original version of an author if you're really invested into it.

Great reasons, also.. WTF Sacrilege To not have played Gothic, Gothic 2 especially was a big part of my childhood memories. i've heard learning russian gives you access to alot of interesting literature/mediai also like the way russians write when they write in english, so it might be interesting as well
