Are German or Russian worth learning? What uses can you give to those languages nowadays?
>>
>>23457716
Uses: Preserving them. Keeping them in play. Giving access to what is good to them.

They may be better defended by not being understood. English can handle everyone speaking it. The thing of the English is to have an adventure, not be at the end of it.

I like German. Germans deserve to fuck eachother and have the best of a long take of love. Wrong kept out. Intimacy with themselves and what they choose.
They are good at inventing. Complexity for it instead of outside approval.

Russian is like common bond of everything being fucked, don't get used to otherwise, reality is fucked, even the pleasures. It'll go wrong, find relief in it not now.

I could do better summaries. Sorry if that is an insult. You could explain things forever and still not cover everything.
>>
>>23457754
Or relief in being responsible for unfucking it. Taking credit for that and identifying as it. Making it true. Not being reliant, because reality will betray, above will betray, everything will, you will betray, change the tyre for yourself your father gone shouldn't mean anything to you. That is how you reward him. Being like him. All problems little problems already accepted there is only them and anything good is another lover trying to steal you from life.

Old and that's changed probably. Reference is The Return. A movie about a father kids don't know taking them on a trip, the hardship he's faced become normal to him. The life with their mother not enough to prepare them for a fucked up cunt of a world, lost war, cannon fodder, kids don't know if it was the world or adulthood or him. Accepting he is on their side being hard to them. Or not. Not proven otherwise. Worth watching to the end to remember him.

A need done before how hard is considered correctly preventing them from trying to do what is nescessary.

Or just dumb faith trying will work, faith that nothing can fool. Doesn't work is a disappointment instead of the truth.

Reading texts in the original language and traveling seems to be good reasons to consider studying them worth. It would be worth to read the original version of an author if you're really invested into it.

>Reading texts in the original language
That's always cool.

Niggers, all the texts worth reading have been translated many times.
>>
>>23459884
Translation can be good but still not the same as original text.
>>
You can read philosophy greatest hits like Kant, Marx and Schopenhauer in original AND enjoy the cult RPG Gothic with original voice acting. Although I have done none of that.
>>
You can read the greatest biography of all time, Mein Kampf
In the original language
And you can also read Freuds theory on why you actually want to fuck Ur Mom
>>
Great reasons, also.. WTF Sacrilege To not have played Gothic, Gothic 2 especially was a big part of my childhood memories. Since it was so awesome, so many ways to complete a certain task, awesome Voice acting as you said and funny in my opinion, even if some people complain about stuff like wife jokes xD

Looks like his translating software or AI, whatever, failed him to translate "materschina" or, short version, "mat" as "curse words"

As a Russian learner, short answer would be:no

german is used to talk to people in germany but they all know english so that's not useful
russian is only used to talk to older east germans who never learned english but if you know german that's useless
>>
>>23462012
What's like being German and having easy access to 40% of the western canon? Here you not only have to read Kant, but be able to read German in the first place (for a closer interpretation, since it's already translated).

Isn't it cool to be able to understand even a little of 2ch.ru? Bet it would be rewarding, no matter the struggle

i like speaking and understanding german, it opens you up to understand an entire new nation
i regularly watch videos about german politics on yt and i learn many things that are are seldom or not at all treated in the other languages.
i would also like to learn russian, because that's a completely new world, they are still behind their iron curtain, with their own online spaces, their games, their movies both modern and soviet, and their muical scene.plus russian also opens caucasian and central asian web, and from (before the war)ukraine to kyrgyzistan it's the de facto lingua franca,
also both are useful to read papers in their language and understand their literature
>>
>>23470962
Knowing Italian sounds cool too. I wish I knew your language.
>>
>>23471597
