>>23516637you'll probably know if its infected in a day or two as it'll start swelling and getting red and hot to the touch.if this happens you need antibiotics, don't hold off on getting them as another day or two can be enough for it to turn into sepsis.iv had wounds get infected like a week later but that's usually not what happens with bite wounds they usually flare up very early on or not at all but still if at any point it starts swelling and feeling hot or having smelly discharge you should not risk it and get it checked out ASAP

I got bit by a wild dog while jogging once and was very paranoid I'd get rabiesit was 4 or so years ago so I guess I lucked out but I don't really know what you do in the type of situationlike just go to doctor and say "treat me for rabies"? (this might be the obvious answer sorry I am semi retarded)

>>23531901you can't treat rabies once the symptoms start. you need to get a rabies vaccine BEFORE you become symptomatic.you should get one ASAP as it can lay dormant for a really long time then suddenly become symptomatic.once symptoms start out have a 0% chance of surviving
