You manage it, set your emotions aside when needed and get things done, and slowly work through them in bites when you have a moment to yourself
You don't ever hide it, except maybe from children, you just don't let your emotions control you or leave you unable to handle what you need to do
Stoicism isn't about not having emotions, and anyone who says it is probably doesn't have a good handle of his own emotions
And as for what women want, if she can't handle the idea that you have emotions or that you might need her support she's not worth keeping anyways
But don't get that confused for it being okay to lose control of yourself and just let everything you're holding fall on her at once, you're supposed to be a man with his wife, not a boy with his mom
