i dunno how much back that actually was desu. i never really noticed these threads until recently after a couple of threads that i made and then two anons and i sorta moved to the comfy ones or something, i forgot. but one of those is that brazilian in question. that was before the good [time] thread.

Hope your headache is getting better, if you're into music that's just angry then Artcore isn't going to click with you. Artcore really appeals to people into musical theatre, the focus is on lyrics and composition and what emotions and stories you can tell. You also have to appreciate a range of classical and contemporary styles, kinda like the Trumpet Fight guy but I you're actually not talking out of your ass.

yeah but there was a specific one. talked to them outside of the comfy threads too
>they just use sim cards bought with cash or a fake ID
we have had insanely through kyc for sim cards before that stuff was standard in more sensitive applications around the world. i really don't think that there is a way to fool those. when i recently got my card it was almost on the level of what the bank does.

Pedos do like to just use their person accounds on social media and stuff. They might not even bother with sim cards to be desu. its weird how there is this divide between the 80iq ones and the epstein level people

yeah, for some reason degenerates always seem to be on extreme ends of intelligence, its weird but i guess it boils down to thats mostly the ones we know about, stupid ones get caught and very smart ones get involved in high level shit.
middle of the road ones probably just find ways to control their urges or figure out legal shit that still gets them off.

>oh sweet summer child
i dunno. you show your id in a live stream and do all these thingies. plus they look stuff up and stuff so dunno if a faked one would rlly work.
germany is rlly cucked in that way. you'd probably be better off just traveling to another EU country without these things desu.
If those still exist that is. Last time i checked they did..
>it boils down to thats mostly the ones we know about
makes sense. i still sort of cannot imagine a middle of the road one but they would probably be the same as you described. although i wouldnt be too surprised if being a middle pedo and still accessing stuff wouldn't be too hard.
authorities are quite bad at their job if you didn't knew. they quite literally do *not* delete that sort of material even when they hijack a site and are in full control. I wish i were joking. A couple of jurnos around here got a lot of stuff deleted by sending deletion requests on their own while in the same time frame coppos didn't get shit removed.

>I'm too new to linux to even understand what u did wrong :/
well "sudo rm -rf ./*" would remove everything in the directory you're currently switched to, that's what the period means
so if you're in your download directory, it will delete everything in there, for example

"sudo rm -rf /*" has no period, and the slash on its own refers to the root directory of the system, no matter where you're running the command from

you can see osaka cd'd into the root directory anyway, so either command would've had the same effect in her case, if she remembered her password xD

basically, be careful with the rm command, and get comfortable with relative vs absolute paths
i called "./*" regex, but that's not exactly right, i think the period and asterisk are special characters within bash, but they're similar to regex in how they're used (not really important, just in case someone nitpicks me)

>pls don't they will shoot you

>thanks for the advice though.
they aren't too much different, i don't think
referencing/navigating files is similar & you have access to the same suite of commands whichever shell ur using
it's not like the different between bash or powershell, basically all the linux shells comply to a similar standard

like he said, it's easy to switch between them, u could try switching back and forth
still, it might be better to get familiar with just one, until you get used to things

>which does? just memorizing commands or understanding bash?
well, both of those, but i was talking about navigating & referencing files/directories
that rm thingy was an example, you can end up deleting your whole system by accidentally referencing the wrong directory
using special characters like * and . can be too confusing at first, but they make things easier later on

the point was mainly that it's worth persevering to learn linux, it all really becomes much easier
when you get familiar with one thing, it frees up your attention to learn other things faster
but at first you're gonna have like 6 things to get used to at the same time, which can be annoying
>>
>>24195511
>they aren't too much different
ah I see. ill look into it, I don't even have linux installed I'm just fucking around in VMs
ill probably be putting mint on the cf-19 soon tho, need to figure out how to make the touchscreen and the weird physical buttons work which is the main reason I'm putting it off.
>you can end up deleting your whole system
I've been aware of this because I used to use gentoo when I was like 16, I'm always very careful to not just start typing stuff if idk what it'll do and I proof read stuff before hitting enter.
>it all really becomes easier
yeah I've noticed. now that I have enough commands memorized to do basic shit it seems like linux is fairly easy, was daunting at first though.
I'm really upset debian is getting getting jeeted because I was just getting comfortable with it but apparently mint is even more user friendly so im not too worried about switching.
was thinking of using fedora but the name makes me cringe so probably won't xD unless I can find an offshoot that has a non cringe inducing name.
I know this is a ridiculous thing to worry about when choosing a distro but if I cringe every time I use my puter it'll significantly worsen my frenly glown rektangle expirence

ah
chances are it will be easy, actually
worst case you have to dig up some driver online and/or install an obscure package
but it might work out of the box with linux & all the normal non-free drivers installed
>I've been aware of this because I used to use gentoo when I was like 16,

that's cool u got gentoo running
>I'm always very careful to not just start typing stuff if idk what it'll do and I proof read stuff before hitting enter.

at the same time, sometimes the fastest way to learn is to poke things with a stick repeatedly & not worry too much about risk
probably especially true with a VM

do you not want to use arch/artix?
>maybe I can just use Ubuntu? maybe that wont be effected by all the forced age verification and enjeetification??
i think it almost definitely will have age verification
there is a lot of invasive proprietary stuff on ubuntu, and it relies on systemd, which is the first init system so far to ask for your age on startup..
i don't know much about the issue, and i think the "age check" for systemd doesn't actually do anything (so far), but if you use something like artix with openrc it would circumvent that entirely

u rarely hear about it, but it gives you your own choice of init system (similar to artix), and it has its own packages & everything
i talk to a few security freaks who use it

also freeBSD and openBSD are still uncompromised, it seems, along with gentoo for now

even if there's some hardware-level shit, or people are pushed from x86_64 to ARM, there are still risc processors, which i think are expensive/specialty right now but could become a good alternative

so not all hope is lost for general purpose computers, by any means
just normies & governments & corpos encroaching upon the temple..

Sorry, tuesday. My bad, or well, it's all because of beer lmao
And well, it was just black tea. At first I used a tea bag, but then I saw that the tea made in a teapot I made yesterday was indeed in front of me, and I didn't spotted it at the moment. Again, it's alcohol's fault. Whatever, my second tea cup was with that tea. The flavor is in indisputably better
Now I'm just lying on my bed, waiting to be tired and sleep for like 10 hours straight. I'm also listening blues music: https://youtu.be/rIxl8hIsDmc?si=wyOrRbe7wzs8tZOB

chances are it will be possible, but maybe with limited features, like u might have trouble connecting certain devices requiring drivers

i honestly don't know enough though, about music production or about wine/windows emulation
i've only used reaper on linux, which has linux support by default

make sure u boil and stir the oats for a decent amount of time untill they get sorta gelatenous then when u pour on cold milk they kinda solidify.
you can run your spoon around the edge of the bowl and the semi solidified porridge floats up like a wee island :D
you can do it in the microwave but its tricky, easier to just put 2:1 liquid and oats in a pot and bring to a boil on low-medium heat while stirring.
half water half milk makes the creamiest porridge for some reason

iv gotta try force myself to sleep.

There's a Brazil anon there with social security issues and he posts Yuno a lot, I give him support where I can I had the same issues as a teenager, he's started to do better recently. It's exciting but when people see that side, I don't think they view me in the same way.

That's not an issue for me. My brain is driven by pleasure and I love food. Had an Egyptian friend who likes baking teach me how to eat past feeling full and it was the best advice ever. >>24195502

no, not rlly. 99% of linux stuff follows the POSIX standarts which includes shells, so if you know one of them you know most of them. Actually fish is one of the few that DOESN'T follow those standards but they are very close and only improve on quality of life stuff. commands and navigating stuff stays the same across everything though.
the only thing that really changes with fish is scripting but its just more convenient to do and you can still run scrips made for other shells just fine. Either by staring one just for a command or relying on the shebang line that most scripts have that chooses the appropriate shell to use automatically.

that was unnecessarily long to be honest. Basically what is boils down to is that every unix-like OS is incredibly standardized so everything is cross compaible. Everything is modular and can be customized but every dev follows rules so stuff works in predicable ways. fish's a little special compared to the others but is still very close to spec all things considered.

>all the dirtbike kids around here switched to electric which is nice
haha. electric stuff can be incredibly annoying too. there are these tiny grocery delivery trucks around here and they all go wweeeeeoOOOOOo and OOEEEewwwwww when they accelerate and decelerate because they are the cheapest things on the market. Most combustibles are somehow quieter than those.
>>
>>24196354
if its so similar how much easier can it possibly be?
>electric stuff can be incredibly annoying
I agree for the most part especially with cars but 30 electric dirtbikes at 2am is a lot better than 30 petrol or 2-stroke ones xD
>>
>>24196366
>if its so similar how much easier can it possibly be?
the similarity comes from the cross compatibility stuff but things like autocomplete and aliases and quality of life things are not covered by any standards as that doesn't make sense.
Its way more user friendly out of the box than most shells but commands actual commands are almost the same across all shells. If you know how to work the linux cli you also know Android, BSD, MacOS etc.

Fish goes a little against the standard but that its still used and feels the exactly same way. Just scripting and more advanced things have a a little nicer syntax than the POSIX standard.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_(Unix_shell)#Bash/fish_translation_table

there are also more baseline shells that have these nicer features but nothing compares to the out of the box experience of fish.

>30 electric dirtbikes at 2am is a lot better than 30 petrol or 2-stroke ones xD

The problem is that I love being a caring person while also being a freak in the sheets. So if /dft/ people recognise me in threads that aren't... That. It can make it hard to talk without how I am in that thread influencing your perception of me. The other problem is just info dumping the ERP I have done there, some threads know all of those interests already but they don't see it in action.

Grab Linux Mint and go for a distro. If you need to distro hop you'll know because something won't be working. The biggest insult I've seen from /g/ was someone complaining Ubuntu currently runs a fairly old version of the kernel and they keep it fixed. I had an entire VMware stork collapse from a Fedora kernel update that week. I'm saying this as a Gentoo person, Linux is like music theory, the more you learn you shouldn't think about it too much. I would say, try to not use flatpak. It's nothing to do with performance, some packages on there have limited access to your system and you can have strange behaviour when it's not setup right, steam for example has this on flatpak.

>>24196490
I've read Yotsuba and it didn't click. Azumanga was funnier. I read the manga you'd expect a house wife to read. I'm reading Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (Tohru my beloved) and to break it up I'm going to read the Yamada Wife. I did like Azumanga, I thought the jokes landed better in Azumanga.

Only driver I'd worry on is if you have an Nvidia card. Mint has a program built in that sets up all of the Nvidia bits for you. If you do Debian you have to setup the sudoers group manually. touchscreen can often be accessed from the /dev/ folder, it should appear as a serial device
linux uses that "everything is a file" paradigm, so everything in the /dev/ folder is devices, you can list everything in there and check things out if u want
you can output the data stream of those serial devices directly to the terminal & see which ones respond to touch/stylus interaction, that was how i found the one i was looking for, then it was just a matter of finding the right filter layer to make that appear as a normal touchscreen device so i could use things like xsetwacom

i think for the hardware buttons i used dmesg and xev to probe, i found the hardware button press events in one of those and figured out how to bind those events to actions from there

I'm reading this knowing what all of that means and even I'm going "Fuck I'd just get Windows". I get less patient with system config everyday. I'm already at that point where I grab Fedora XFCE, run a scrip to get my stuff setup and not think about it again.

>>24197362
Have you read Cardcaptor Sakura? That's a pretty cute manga, I liked the movie as a kid. It's a very sweet story about a kid learning to live with her mom's death and learning to love people around her.

yeah i'm at that point as well
i made everything i'm talking about into scripts which ran on boot and on desktop start, it was very set it and forget it once it was working
but i haven't done any shit like that in a long time and it's easy to just sit here not configuring anything lol

I'm in the thread, I can fill this role! One of my friends likes getting me stoned because I cuddle her and talk about how happy she makes me for hours. I'm like that to everyone. I do the face and everything.

it could be a good goal/motivation maybe, i felt really great once i got that thinkpad working :D

yeah should be fine for at least that long. maybe the diversity shit will just mean more trannys so it'll still mostly be white men working on it and nothing will change

Are you anxious or something? You know, anxious people eat more that the necessary due to that. If you only love food, then how hilarious. You should try some food eating contest or something
Also, what's that egyptian trick to eat past feeling full? How does it work?

Little correction: People with anxiety tend to eat more than the necessary due to that. Because they could also try smoking, or any other activity to undermine the anxiety

vour average japanese train is in general very comfy, i love how pretty much all of their cities have it (except in hokkaido and okinawa i guess)
they're pretty and their sounds are pretty good
on big cities it's even more impressive because you see them near skyscrapers and such, so nice
>>
>>24198214

yeah Japanese trains are comfy :)
i think we spoke about the ones here in scotland before, idk much about the trains themselves but there's some rlly nice scenic train routes here and some of them still have steam trains.
id like to maybe go on a trip somewhere and take some trains around the country side soon
https://www.visitscotland.com/travel-planning/railway/train-tours
maybe if you come here some day we can go somewhere on one.
if we bring tents it'd be really cheap we could just camp in a random field or in a forest as its legal to camp pretty much anywhere you want here

That's amazing, we have a few steam trains here, i've ride in some and it was amazing
Piccrel is really beautiful btw, wonderful :)
Thanks for the link, scotland is truly an underrated place (at least here, im sure other regions talk a lot about it and have tons of tourists that go to there)
Your idea is amazing, i would be up to that, hope it happens someday even if takes some years :)
>its legal to camp pretty much anywhere you want here
That's so cool
Im sure its the same here as long as it isnt in private property of course, but animals we have make it very scary
I would be scared of some random schizo wandering around as well lol

Someone is going to try and laugh me out the board with this one. But the only bad transgender people live on /tttt/ and some random cords and Reddits. I've met trans men and women on dating apps and if they weren't on a socials all day they were just people. Last date I had with a trans guy was us making cookies and pasta and we played his piano. I've only ever seen toxic trans people online and I've seen people who aren't trans do the same attention seeking bullshit. Like, /dft/ has an entire section of people who buy diy hrt to have a better orgasm and have a complex around it, I've even been told to do this on that thread and I have never once seen a person doing this in real life sex meets, and I saw some freaky shit. The real problem is social media brain rot and that learned need for any attention all the time, the solution is to get outside and meet wonderful people because trust me, Hasan tranner death to whites on Twitter does not leave their router it's too scary for them.

I just love food. Yesterday I ate really big and I was super happy the entire day, I get sad when I'm eating smaller portions and definetly when it's food I'm not in love with. I blushed a little when you called that funny, I've been told it's charming on dates before. I don't think these work unless you like to eat. Remind yourself that the food will taste worse when it's re-heated, reduce the amount of water you drink through the day because it fills your stomach, if you're going into the meal already a little full you can eat faster than your stomach or pace eating over an hour. You can also eat sweets ontop of any meal because they don't make you full, if you like potato chips they only make you a little full, eventually your senses get weaker and you'll be getting pork buns on the street after a big meal just because you want pork buns. It makes me happy to live like this, but I don't think there's a health benefit to the Usagi Tsukino diet, I'm very sorry haha.

Go to the anime con and talk to the Touhou cosplayers there. Some of them will give you their phone number if you are charming. You can join a group to do MMA or dance or something. I watched an anime called To Heart when KissAnime was still around and there was a character in that who did MMA. I developed a crush on her and started doing Martial Arts to impress my teenage virtual crush, and that let me meet a lot of cool people despite how pathetic the motivation was.

yeah if we had some trains like Japan it'd be fun and comfy. the subway ones in glasgow have a similar layout but they just go in a circle around the city.
id love to check out the steam trains in brazil if u have some sorta link? I hope to visit brazil some day so even if u never make it to scotland maybe we will still meet each other irl some day.
not long ago my mum reminded me that my grandfather had actually lived in brazil for a while, can't remember exactly why but something involving helping dock workers.
>animals we have make it very scary
yeah that's understandable lol, there's stuff u can do to mitigate this danger but its still understandable to not want to camp in brazil.
>Thanks for the talk friend :)
<3 no problem, I always enjoy our chats.
hope you sleep/slept well :)
>>24198561
idk about all that I've met some pretty fucking insane trannies irl lol.
the ratio of insane ones is a lot lower than online but they are certainly still common.
I've been friends with a couple of these ppl and even the ones that are nice and not crazily obsessed with the ideology have very chaotic lives and are usually heavy drug users or addicts who live their life based almost entirely on hedonism.
also had one friend get groomed/manipulated while having mental health issues into taking hrt who eventually killed himself.
>>24198589
start by going outside more, work your way up from there :)
also yeah stuff like cons are great. basically you dont rlly need to become part of mainstream normalfag society just figure out how to navigate it and then u can just be friends with ppl who are the same type of weird as you :)

>>24198618
yeah kissanime was rlly comfy.
fencing is a fun sport, the equiptment can be a slight barrier to entry but most fencing clubs have equiptment you can use untill you save up to get your own
>>
>>24198938
It sounds like you're just around very self-destructive and unstable people. You're gonna know a bunch of crazy trans people if you hang around drug users and people with massive mental health issues, which is most of Glasgow, I dated a British girl one time so I am aware. If I only talked about trans people I knew in university I'd give the same answer because everyone was like that. But in your 20s you get the choice to sort yourself out. Some people didn't and they're too unstable to be around, some people did and they are still in my life, I know trans people who fell into both groups. Most trans people I know are good people because I made a point to filter destructive people from my life, and out of my friend group 3 are trans men, I'm too butch for trans women to be around me. Wearing a dress and taking menopause medication doesn't define evil, you know?
>>
>>24198978
well I'm not rlly around those ppl anymore and now that I'm not hanging out with self destructive ppl suddenly none of the people I end up being around are trannies xD
destruction of self and some sort of 'rebirth' is central to their fantasy/ideology so most of them are going to be self destructive in nature
>trans men
I've only met like two of these, most trannies I've encountered are MTF.
the FTMs seemed just as, if not more self destructive though.
>wearing a dress and taking menopause medication dosent define evil
never said it does lol. the thing I have a problem with is the ideology as i see it as inherently harmful and I hate anyone that tries to push it on vunerable people (in my expirence this is extremely common sadly).
but if someone just wants to sorta customize their body with exogenous hormones and wear the opposite sexes clothes I don't really give a flying fuck
