>>24215707There's an interesting happening I witnessed on /lgbt/ a year ago that I've never heard any anons bring up.Essentially, OP was a tranny posting from inside a psych ward in Virginia. They posted a photo of themselves and a bunch of photos and posts about what life was like inside. They said that they were in the psych ward because they had stabbed their father to death during a psychotic episode after their father had forced them to consume a large amount of drugs. Another thing OP mentioned was that they were breaking the rules by posting on 4chan; they had somehow managed to get a device with Internet access into the ward.I was skeptical but I managed to find a news article about the incident which contained a photo of the perpetrator. The photo matched the selfie posted by OP confirming that their story was legit and they really were in a psychiatric facility for stabbing their father.Anyway, here's where it gets interesting. Towards the end of the thread, someone posted a screenshot of another forum where users were attempting to doxx OP. They were contacting every psychiatric hospital in Virginia and telling them about the thread in an attempt to get OP in trouble and have their Internet access taken away,Then to my immense disappointment, the thread died. I have no idea what happened after this. I still don't know which forum was shown in the screenshot posted in the thread of anons doxxing OP, but I assume it was the Sharty. I would love to know what happened next, and if OP was actually got in trouble. Sadly the story ends there. Here's the thread if you want to read it yourself: https://archived.moe/lgbt/thread/39388588/
>>24215754Unfortunately we betrayed Tumblr, not the other way aroundIf you've ever used Tumblr they capture more of /b/'s old spirit than most modern 4chan boards do and I'm not kidding at all
>>24215754was this made by gloomypunks?
Just apply everything you know today to the present, since it's so important. This kind of thinking doesn't even make sense because everything you know today is the result of everything you didn't know back then, so wanting to change the past is just an idea that you shouldn't have gone through everything you went through, which is foolish.Forgive yourself and accept that things were as they were. Every second you spend thinking about it is a valuable second that you stop spending on something more important (for example, something that will prevent your future self from thinking the exact same thing about your current self). What guarantee do you have that your next self won't have the same kind of regret about your current self (which you think you already know enough)? There's no guarantee at all. However, now that you know this phenomenon is real, it's possible, so you can at least try to project into the future things that could generate regret for not having fought for them in the present, and once you know them, start getting rid of them to prevent the cycle from perpetuating

>>24215721>>24215732My delay for captcha and posting is exactly 30.0 seconds. Every single time. If it was a cloudflare issue, surely this delay would be more randomized. And we would also have similar delays with loading the pages, but somehow only captcha and posting are affected. No, this is clearly some bullshit the dev added on 4chan's backend.
>>24215832My citation is "using Tumblr", ever since the Great /pol/ & Radfem Flight over to Twitter because of the porn ban they've bred a pretty successful meme and shitpost culture reminiscent of an older 4chan that doesn't take itself seriously
>>24215896>And we would also have similar delays with loading the pagesI'm pretty sure cloudflare is only used on captchas, frontpage and various "protected" pages like 4chan.org/banned
activity kill. Also holy fuck this delay is insane, hopefully it's fixed soon
>>24215899It's a tier list of boards with the most patience or highest levels of 4chan addiction. (excluding /bant/ because of moved threads)
>>24215736I was just taking a break from 4chan at the time, so I missed it. But it was like nothing happened. Mostly, seems like 4chan is slower (as in less posters) after the hack, but I don't mind it that much.
>>24215896Is it possible cloudfare is rate limiting the captcha shit to punish 4chan for noncompliance with the brit/aussie court ruling stuff? In any case it's nuts that there hasn't been any kind of announcement that something fucky is going on.

>>24215896For me it's between 23 and 33, usually about 28-29. Yes I've been counting with a stopwatch.
>>24215919You can't use /bant/ as an example because when a /pol/ thread gets moved it considers each post within the moved thread to be a new post. So if a thread had 200 posts then /bant/ gets the activity boost from 200 posts made at the exact same time.

The decision to add the board was made weeks beforehand, and the board was added almost 24 hours prior to a first, chance encounter at a social event. For example, there was the Fire Emblem ironman relay thread series on /v/, basically, people passing each other a save file and trying to beat FE6 chapter by chapter, documenting the progress with screenshots as they went. The mods figured it's a general, started deleting the threads, and dishing out warning because how dare you play videogames on /v/. In last year's relay we got a few threads randomly pruned, and something like commented playthroughs or people randomly playing XCOM with anon input was never out of line on the board. Then right after that I got a day ban from /tg/, which is totally fair, I was out of line and shouldn't talk politics there, but it's still a very funny post to get banned for in particular.
