yeah this amount of posting is insane even by raid standards. i think at one point we have surpassed 100 filtered threads (porn and fishtank generals also counted).
However it doesn't seem that much more than usual on 4stats.io unless i am misreading the chart.

Def need to up the exposure on these kinds of pics but damn is it cool to see into prints.

Just took some more pictures and for this kind of x-ray stuff you definitely want to overexpose. Yes all direct light will be very bright but so will the item itself be and that's only what you really care about. Don't wanna spam pics so maybe i'll just make a collage with some cool macros or something.
Btw the prints should be done on monday. I can't on the weekends as family is home and i have been kinda sick the last couple of days. Will take this time to order some nice filters though. None seem to be sold in my enlargers size but you can just cut them to size so its fine.

How's the weekend looking for you guys?

lemme first do the analogue prints. there is a lot of stuff to shoot in macro with my oldie digital camera if you still remember it but i have sooo much already developed film that even a week wouldn't be enough to print all of it lol. not like that was ever the plan though. just the best stuff.
>:( hope u get well soon.
ty ty. the not to be named topic also played a role but that was more of a mental thing to be desu. good news is that i was offered both a reship and a refund atsm from how understand it but it seems like the package is coming from the US this time and not from within the schengen-area.....
>because of a new med in a previous thread?
i did try pipamperon for the first time since leaving the ward and it is a lot stronger in this setting it seems but no. I think it has more to do with me drinking for almost every day since i came back "home". Lost a lot of tolerance and resistance to hangovers (still no headaches!) but its sort of nice that my bottle of the good stuff still isn't empty while previously i would have emptied it in 1.5 days.

>people struggling to do that over a couple of months
yeah well I've been trying to eat less and more healthy for months with no progress. I lost nearly 10kg at one point last year then the weight loss stopped for a while.
I'm trying to do it without like counting calories and macros because I think its more sustainible robust change habits.
>my oldie digital camera
oh I thought it broke?
>reship
ah good. hope u didn't get sick from the last one.
>drinking
ah be careful man that shit is worse than heroin imo. obviously heroin is more dangerous but the addiction and withdrawals from booze are worse.
glad ur drinking less than before but you just spent so long sober its better to try to stay that way and not get back into the habit of drinking daily.

im too skittish for a taxi but to be honest this is nothing that i am not already used to. used to do 10km bike rides through heavy rain regularly a while back. I am only a little worried about the laptops that i brought with me but a trash bag should prevent the worst.

either that or we extend this thing till 6 AM when the rain is supposed to stop lol. or i could just go now(?) the whole night was supposed to be like this but it just stopped for some reason. a window of opportunity maybe. But we actually planned to stop at 3 AM so this would be a little early.

>because I think its more sustainible robust change habits.
yeah having things just work without actively thinking about it is the best you can do. Dunno why people even bother with counting stuff desu. Just eat less/more within a healthy feeling limit and watch for change i guess.
>oh I thought it broke?
oh no that one works just fine. You are probably thinking about the camera i got right after it. Just learned that it can somehow focus in almost 0 light scenes and also has a insanely right and fast recharging flash.
>hope u didn't get sick from the last one.
its sorta like i and a couple of others predicted. Nothing fishy going on with it.
I am sorta worried about it making it here and me potentially facing some nasty consequences if it doesn't but in the worst case scenario i guess i can just get the refund and buy somewhere else. that is more local, if they are not out of stock like 99% of the time that is.
>ah be careful man that shit is worse than heroin imo
i know and i usually don't drink at all. i just did a lotta binges recently to smooth out some rough moments. With things mostly sorted out the need for this kind of self-medication should also be gone. I'll not turn this into a regular thing, please don't worry.
>glad ur drinking less than before
that's more because i physically can't anymore, got more sensitive. Still mostly hate its taste though. bleh

that's really hard for some people. but yeah counting calories while eating random stuff never works better to just make a meal plan or something.

if i didn't have all this stuff on me and had some proper waterproof clothes on i would just go out on purpose. Late night bike rides though rain are really comfy and therapeutic if you are prepeared.
>if it ever spirals out of control pls let me know
i really don't think that it will. i guess i have some friends now(?), even if most of them are online. That and most stuff's managed now so yea. Don't even want to finish this bottle. Might just bin in when i am home.

probably not viable as a one man operation.
these mines were shut down because they weren't producing enough for it to be viable, youd be lucky to get a few grams and it would take more work than the silver is worth. could be fun as a project but not viable to make money.
panning for gold may be more feasible.

anger exists so that we don't continually allow our boundaries to be violated, whether the boundaries are physical property or psychological or people we love, whatever
but it's not always clear how to honor it, and it can cause people to make mistakes or be used
if ur angry try to figure out what you feel violated by, maybe
>>
>>24230122
i know what you mean
>i'm quite sad, i want to spend my free time but i really don't know how
it can help to just pick something and see where it goes
usually a vague idea of something is completely different from doing it in practice, and you never know where something might lead
picking something and trying to figure out all the intermediate steps can be very satisfying
>>
good morning
>>24230122
its best to just try new things, if they end up not being as enjoyable as you hoped just move onto a different thing. don't get stuck doing the same things because your worried doing something new will be a waste if u don't enjoy it.
nothing ventured, nothing gained. if u don't take the risk of possibly having slightly less fun then you will miss out on potentially finding new things that could bring you even more joy than your current favourite activities.
maybe meeting some new people would help u find new things you enjoy?
maybe you could go to this?
https://animefriends.com.br/
even if you don't find the shit on the main stage appealing there will be thousands of like minded people and lots of stalls selling manga. also the artists they will have has not been confirmed yet so there may end up being some from anime you like attending.
>>24230579
I know nothing about your situation so forgive me if this sounds like vague platitudes:
it really depends on the cause of your anger but avoiding things you dislike and prioritizing looking after your own needs over other obligations is always a good start.
ppl often think they shouldn't do this because its 'selfish' but that's bullshit, you can't help others if u dont first help yourself so its actually the opposite.
not that you have to start helping strangers or whatever to become comfy tho, just letting you know that you should never see self care or enforcing bounderies as selfish.
your first obligation should always be to yourself, never your boss or parents or whatever, you are no use to them if u don't look after yourself anyway.

what sort of keyboard do you like then? i dunno much about standardization or keyboards in general besides that i like cherry mx red's.

that layout is messing with my head right now. Does it put english or japanese first? Why is it so similar to a regular US layout with some bits flipped around?
Looks like its english first from the 'enter' and 'backspace' keys but it just looks weird..
but who am i to judge, my keyboard has an extra key between 'shift' and 'z' cuz its a german one with 'merrican keycaps

>i dunno much about standardization or keyboards in general
there are generally "ANSI" and "ISO" keyboard layouts, ANSI is the more common one in america while international tends to be ISO
ISO keyboards have the fat enter key & no right shift is one of the biggest differences
i honestly don't know much more though
>besides that i like cherry mx red's.
ah ye :D
i like MX browns, a lot of people seem to hate them lol
i've never tried mx reds, linear switches make me nervous, i think i'm used to the "bump" rather than a click or nothing at all

oooh so i have both an ISO and a ANSI one. Took a little getting used to the ANSI one but i didn't feel a difference afterwards. Still switched back to my ISO one because its quality was nicer. ANSI one had low profile red's which are pretty nice and i wonder why those are sorta rare or niche.
>i like MX browns
its description and pressure chart look pretty nice to me. so it has feedback but isn't all clicky and has a little "bump" from how i read the chart? Gotta try those some day..
Thanks for mentioning them!
>ic
well the shift key is this slightly larger than normal key thing and between it and 'z' is a regular key with '><' on it. Which is sorta funny cuz its totally redundant and just kinda sits there. I still use it and the traditional keys though. Dunno why.

Switched to a english layout because i was scripting a little abd brackets on a german layout require you to do jin jutsu and nuke your wrist if you try to use it for that usecase. That and i use english way more in general so idk

would probably be good to get used to both layouts
i guess the enter key spanning two rows is what bothers me, ISO keyboards don't have any "tall" keys like that normally, tall keys just bug me

yeah those switches are normally kinda rare, idk why

no but i have that "tex shinobi" thinkpad style keyboard with tracpoint, it's mechanical and you can choose the switches you want when ordering
they do also sell a DIY kit though, you can solder your own switches to the board (very tedious lol)
>>
>>24231952

>fuckin hell thats a spensive keyboard.
yeah it was a gift several years ago, i try to take good care of it
it's a very simple robust design thankfully, easy to maintain
also surprisingly programmable, you can upload your own layouts at the hardware level so it works when plugged into different puters, it can store 5 layouts
my only complaint is it's a bit bulky, not good for shallow desks
very much worth the money though, unlike a lot of products lately xd
>yeah soldering them yourself sounds tedious, would be worth it if u had made it from scratch but a diy kit sounds like more bother than its worth

sometimes we'd bring our PCs to each others houses while the other friends family were over
if there were kids, he'd always show them the keyboard and let them mess with it, which was funny
it had some configurable RGB patterns, like one where they're all off except when a key is pressed, then it looks like it sends out a ripple of whatever color from that key

>carnyx
didn't know about these, they look cool lmao
>you can look up peatbog mummies
there's one that's so well preserved that it even looks fake, the tollund man one.
actual surreal stuff.
reminded me of sokushinbutsu (buddhist monks who starved and mummified themselves to death)
>its usually very cold
very surprising they were so used to it considering the climate
>if its a hot day it could be pretty refreshing tho and would maybe offer some relief from the midges
that makes sense

>they look cool
yeah and they sound really otherworldly
>tollund man
yeah that one is fuckin crazy
>very suprising they were so used to it
yeah scotland was fucking COLD back then. I wonder if mayve it was so cold they could almost cryogenically preserve themselves or something lol.
there's been cases of ppl surviving being frozen solid maybe they did something that slowed down their metabolism so much that they could survive for like weeks semi frozen, its highly unlikely but maybe not beyond the realm of extreme possibility

>is is not typical, I'm in essentially a swamp
is it really? I thought that even the romans noted swamps and marshland to be sort of abundant or at least important

>i hope to try linear switches as well at some point
def try some lp red ones too. they the same in theorie but the shorter travel distance changes *a lot*
>kinda rare, idk why
yeah.. why? they are amazing :D
>enthusiasts & keyboard builders seem to enjoy linear switches lately though
huh, how does that work? I thought that the is already mature and that people already fell into their camps. I guess its nice since that hopefully means that quality lp red's might be cheaper in the future but its a little confusing

80% set up. Need to find my casio, remember how i used to light-proof stuff, and figure out how to put film in the negative carrier. It clamps down on it when its mounted but it also has holders for it which doesn't make a lot of sense unless there is a way to un-clamp it. might cut the film into strips again, or just read the manual..

happy 4/20 guys

there's not rlly that much to learn out entire history is just tribes killing each other
>>24233452
>is it really
bogs are extremely common but marshland is pretty rare.
I couldnt be arsed trying to explain the difference between the two to someone from a country that has neither so just called it a swamp xD
