I think it was the devil again today

I had a dream that something was on my hand and I woke up and I looked on my hand and a giant spider was on it I couldn't believe it how horrible can you get? it was the devil again I am sure it was also beelzebub I am not sure if the devil and beelzebub are the same exactly but hell has some kind of control over insects and bugs


I guess I shouldn't openly express too much curiosity because it's like the forbidden knowledge I realized I should have never been so curious it is the reason why they ate the forbidden fruit and were cast out of eden

I saw lights not too long ago

I was sitting on the fucking couch and I had the patio door window uncovered by the blinds and they are pretty big and there is a some trees outside

up by the trees I saw these balls of light not too much bigger then a baseball or tennis ball

they were just these balls of light floating in the sky moving around they sort of looked like they could have belonged to faeries or something as well

they almost sort of looked holy like it looked like holy light or otherworldly light it just looked weird

and btw how the hell does light float around as balls like that? well god damn it I am sure it was the devil again outside m window I think he was trying to confuse and trick me and make me think that he was really being sent by God or something but I am pretty sure I can tell when it is the devil he seems to like light as well ironically enough which is not at all surprising to me

I am really excited to continue shaping and fine tuning my fictional OC's and stories, but also I want to work on music a bit as well, I am a little overwhelmed with the pressure to create novel, unique and original music (good music)

But I am still stuck I keep saying "I am going to spend the whole day just one day working on coming up for the basis of this one story I have" but fuck I keep falling alseep and then I don't have one whole day but I want to go and see Mario Galaxy in Imax really badly too

so I was recommended all these new upcoming bands on youtube I just let autoplay go and it started this playlist of all these new bands, and well....

I didn't care for most of them. I thought they were all sort of generic. They all had fancy music videos and were signed to somewhat big labels yet that doesn't necessitate talent I guess. I have listened to a lot of total indie bands and they were almost better and more original where as they bands on youtube all mostly sounded the same.

It makes me wonder how is it possible to climb above the herd and the pack like that? there's still a lot of guitar oriented bands and music out there I guess. But one thing I noticed is many of them are really aggressive, which is something that I think started around 2017 when Trump was elected, which is why I really wonder why they play so aggressively? it's not metal though, so it sounds kind of weird. I don't think playing aggressive like that will become normalized ever, it sounds too on edge or torqued I don't know how to explain it but I find it really grating, along with the timbre and tones they use in general. Then there was the post punk kind of darkwave rock music but again, it wasn't as aggressive, but I just can't stand the tones they use, they use really modern sounding tones and they just sound like shit I think.

It makes me think of the vision I have for my own music. I really want to make really melodic music and this music as an example wasn't all that melodic which is another reason it didn't really appeal to me I think.

see here is a new "goth band" they wear dresses and shit because apparently that's what being rebellious is nowadays, sure. They are just guitar oriented mostly.

I don't know if you can really interesting if you just stick to the guitar mostly. You would be expected to shake it up a little bit and have other instruments featured on different tracks.

Which is what I worry about. But then I just think of like Nirvana and shit and even Greenday. Somehow they manage to do this.

so listening more to some of these bands

I've listened to a lot of indie or lesser known bands, and I guess these bands and music I got recommended on youtube are pretty decent in a lot of ways, they're a bit higher up then some average indie band that doesn't have a major label

but still I realized, almost all the new bands right now all sound the fucking same. Like they're literally all trying to sound the same or play the same, what the fuck is with that? it's obviously for a reason, fuck Gen Z has absolutely zero individuality, they think it's good for all their musicians to sound exactly the same? but this is mostly in regards to rock music, all the rock bands sound the fucking same.

I wonder if they just don't know how to play very well

but one thing I would do is make the guitar more noticeable, I would make it have more of the sound, but people would say that's over the top I guess, it's just the guitar is the only main instrument there besides the basic bass and vocals and drums so the guitar would have to provide atmosphere and texture

it doesn't stand out very much. It's very generic over all.

So I had a really weird dream, it was almost a nightmare, I woke up not being sure if it was or not or what my feelings were I just felt really uncertain and a little uncomfortable.

But I guess it would be good for a superhero, even though it's sort of just a good story in general. I had the dream about a character that is similar to the hulk, except he looks like the hulk but instead he's really hairy and he has a really big nose.

And the main premise is, instead of getting randomly angry like the Hulk, he turns into this monster type creature based on this psychic bond and connection he has with this woman, and they are both sort of on and off again lovers, but he turns into this monster based on she feels at any given time (something) like that, but also it has to do with his love for her.

So they would share this really strange and crazy, mysterious psychic bond and connection.

That is pretty original, I think.

But I thought of another character that is a kind of "Hulk" variant. I have been watching a bunch of Image comic and Rob Liefeld videos on his various characters and one I came across was Pitt.

He is considered kind of derivative of the Hulk, but it got me thinking, how would I approach a super strong character like the Hulk?

What's the point of making him like a monster essentially and instead just super strong? it got me thinking about things like that. Hulk is a mixture of Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein and even Superman to some extent. He's just super strong for some reason. What power would you give a monster type character? I guess you would probably have to make him super strong.

But anyway, it got me thinking about the idea of beasts too. But there are "beast" type characters, literally the blue beast in X-men and even Wolverine and Sabretooth tackle these ideas to some extent.

But the idea of a beast and a monster are both kind of are related to each other and it's hard to separate the two. Thus I wanted to kind of focus on the concept of what it really means to be a beast (or maybe) a monster too.

What does it really mean to be a monster? well, it entitles often being some type of product of evil in a way.

The Hulk is not really that evil.

Or demonic, or menacing, he doesn't have many of the usual qualities of a monster.

That's what I would focus on, I would focus on those qualities the most. Also, he would be the one character I have that is sort of gothic, though not in a super dark way perhaps, it would just focus on those themes, kind of like a lighthearted gothic or a romantic gothic I guess.

I just saw this scene from a gothic movie, it's called "My grandpa's a vampire" I just saw the beginning, it's not the best movie but damn the opening scene is so good, it just has so much feeling to it, I don't know how to describe it. I realized that's sort of the quality I would want to recreate.

so I was thinking something like there is some type of ancient entity, that hails from past the dark side of the moon to the deep corners of space this kind of disembodied spirit that needs a host to really thrive and come to it's full power and awareness otherwise it's not fully sentient

It winds up going to earth somehow and it possesses a host.

I was thinking about making it look like a Japanese demon but I am not sure because do I really want to rely on Japanese things that much? that would be another character where I end up being inspired by Japanese things to an extent so I probably shouldn't and then I was looking at Pitt again (from image comics

I was looking at Pitt again and it made me think wait a second I think maybe I can make a character look like some type of mutated hominid character the idea would be that this strange entity that possesses him from outer space reverts him back to an early and more primal stage in human evolution but kind of this monster hominid so it would be like a different spin on the hulk

I was thinking about it I am not much for a lot of grim dark shit and anti heroes but oddly enough I really like Lobo and I want to try and maybe combine elements from Lobo somehow but I am not sure I guess I need to read more comic books (and ugh I have to read more literature) I am going to have to read a shit ton of literature because I want my comic books to be good enough for acclaimed literature like all the classics and greats and stuff I figure they can stand on those merits maybe for example I can be "edgy" and "go against the grain" I am actually misunderstood when people have said this about me before "go against the grain" "edgy" that's not my intention necessarily what I am attempting to do is simply make contributions to art and culture that stand the test of time and are hopefully meaningful and impactful.

I am trying to be the change that I want to see in the world. Well, to an extent, but that statement could get taken the wrong way as well. I don't want to change things drastically for sure, I just want there to be a space or at least some acceptance of what I like or represent and what mattes to me. But it's weird I am considered edgy I don't really understand that, I am trying to be original too. And I think trying to be novel and original, or maybe new and fresh seems really edgy and perplexing. I just want what I create or do, to have some type of purpose, a real purpose, and that is unfortunately has to do with challenging the status quo to an extent. I don't understand why so many people feel the need to defend and be guards of the old world so much. I

It just sort of reminds me of Elvis or something. Was he considered really "edgy" at the time? he certainly shook things up. But he grew up and was formed in this environment that was kind of new novel and different and that's where it came from and it's like that for me sort of I feel like I was formulated amongst all these bold and innovative artists but I guess I seek them out because I am drawn and attracted to that more than anything.
