A smaller one is fine for starting out, but keep in mind that the liquid will bubble and may spill everywhere, so don't fill it up too high.And NEVER seal the bottle air tight or else it will explode. Even though fruit contains wild yeast, you might only be able to get to 5% alcohol. And that is the high end.
