on August 25th 2024, an unnamed Italian user of the Churro named "the italian" (later named Kikemin due to his usage of Maxist flags on the Chinny) registered their domain. This imageboard would be in development until on September 5th 2024 it was released for the public. Reasons for creating the Chinny was in response to woot's failure to add any meaningful features like a captcha, memeflags and a /pol/ board as ironic as that may seem.

The Chinny, being a splinter of a splinter of a splinter of a splinter carried most of the culture that came from The Churro. This includes trannylarp, speechbubbles, country wars and other degeneracy.

The Chinny was very obsessed with sites that were not them, especially the Shemmy. Despite a lot of chinnycucks being users of the Shemmy, they would often lament about it's administration and content. An example of such is Quote bragging about botting the shemmy on the Chinny.

Contrary to popular belief, the Chinny did not start out as a "foodist" imageboard. The slippery slope of "not ban anything not explicitly illegal" began when people began joking about "BMT" (baby monkey torture). Overtime, this spiraled into becoming more and more edgy to the point banned users were spamming the site with BMT. Even in the Chinny 2, there is still subtle "ironic" pedophilia and other failtroll culture posted by a few namefags (e.g. replying to threads with mentioning of the letters "cp"), despite having rule 2 that jannies don't enforce.

It does not help that a lot of the (banned) userbase signed up for Skibidi Farms, which itself is already an infamously foodist forum with illegal content.

After a botting wave called "Anonymous Against Foodism" struck the Chinny for days straight, Kikemin tried to combat such bots by implementing new antispam measures and disabling new block bypass generation at botting hours. This was too much for him to bear and as a result he shut the website down on November 24th 2024.

After the shutdown, a lot of users ended up migrating to Skibidi Farms, where the content they were not allowed to post earlier was allowed.

The Spinny would be it's successor after it's shutdown.

After the Spinny's shutdown, chinny users mostly moved over to the shemmy, sharty /pol/, or Skibidi Farms. The Chinny briefly redirected to the shemmy until the shemmy's closing sometime in February.

After the temporary shutdown of shemmy.tv, on March 8 Kikemin announced he would be bringing the site back. A Telegram channel for updates was made 4 days later with the first message being made on March 16, stating that >The Chinny will be online soon, we're currently waiting for our host to approve our server, which shouldn't take too long. No more than a few days.

Despite claiming to return within a few days, it would not return, at all, and on March 20th, 4 days later, a message would be sent, reading:

>There's been some unexpected setbacks but the site will be coming soon. Sorry for the wait.

Again, a month would go by, with no updates on the Telegram or website, until April 18th, when a post referencing a tweet 4chan posted days after the site was hacked, read:

On August 7th, 2025, the first sign of life from this site was made in the Telegram channel, when a message was sent reading

>Something big is coming.

From then, visiting the site resulted in a black screen, with the title reading "the storm".

On August 17th, someone, possibly Kikemin himself, posted a screenshot on the Kuzzy of the chinny's new home page. This is the first time since its shutdown that an image of the Chinny's development was released to the public.

On August 24, Kikemin announced the site would be returning on the 26, The following day, the title of the aforementioned black page was changed to "is cQming", and a green countdown on when the chinny would come back was added, one it reached at 0, the countdown replaced with a red text that says "any minute now...", then to an error message, and a couple of minutes later, the site has been returned

August 25 - at 8 PM EST / 26th 12 AM UTC, the website completely returned after a message from Chinny's telegram, and a QNA session thread gets posted on the /chud/ board, where it would be held at 8 PM CET. Shortly after it's return, the site's activity skyrocketed. The website was later DDoSed a few minutes after release but was brought back up after a few minutes.
August 26 - a thread would be made by a cuban user with the body "Chilefails are built for venezuelan bwc and haitian bbc". This thread would garner about 800 replies after a span of a few hours, likely becoming the Chinny's biggest thread. or one of the biggest, in it's history. The reason for this thread's popularity was due to someone, allegedly Ronald himself, posted in the thread, and the thread would eventually turn into a QNA session with him.
August 27 - Tthe site went down for about 17 hours due to an issue with the hosting provider.

September 1 - A news blotter is added to the website, similar to 4chan's, it is placed on the index of all boards.
September 5 - A news post is made celebrating the first year anniversary of the site. Afterward the default theme was replaced with that of the Churro's and a woot LARP thread was stickied on /chud/. Both of these changes were reverted the next day.
September 10 - A thread discussing the Charlie Kirk assassination is stickied. The site was expected to also have downtime, but it's unknown if any downtime actually occurred.
September 16 - Chinny users raid a shemmy Discord bunker, attempting to bully Yeji into shutting down Netsuba and redirect it to the Chinny. Yeji is also questioned for his ties to ryekrispie and other controversial figures from the shemmy. Most users leave the Discord after a shemmypooner wakes up and starts being annoying, hours later offsiters discover the thread and spam the Discord with toddler CP. A pedophile larping as kharkiv spams the site with shotacon.[i dont have an archive for this because i forgot the thread's content]
September 18 - Kara posts a thread telling that he has been kicked from the shemmycord for harassing a pooner, where it will later be deleted. An innocent user plays on the Sootistpedo DS, which encouraged him to kill his own hamster. He locks him and his hamster in the bathroom and writes up his experience in a lengthy wall of text.

September 19 - A thread is created discussing the possibility of colonizing Blockland, a dead sandbox game that was basically the millennial version of Roblox and harbored several infamous internet figures such as Null. An unoffical blockland server for the chinny is created and several creations were made in the process. About 7 people (4 chinny users and 3 random Blocklanders) were in the server at it's peak. It later goes down due to someone crashing the entire server with a event exploit.
September 20 - The Blockland server returns, image support is added to the server. A 20+ year old account created in joins the server, commenting "there's a dead nigger baby here" and doing nothing for 2 hours before leaving, being the chinny's first contact with prehistoric oldfags.A new board named /gen/ is added, but is locked. The original blockland thread as well as the new mykola thread is moved to this board.
September 22 - Chinny reaches 200,000 total posts, a thread about churro's bans by woot would get posted.
September 26 - /chud/ gets it's 200k GET, foodists and fellaniggers attempt to steal the GET but ultimately fail after a swinnyGOD steals it.
September 28 - /gen/ is unlocked.
September 30 - Emotes are added to the site aswell as a post styling editor to the post form.

October 1 - The Liru thread, made by an actual unc who's claimed to have been posting Liru since 2006, surpasses 1,000 replies, becoming the first thread to do so in Chinny's history.
October 3 - Kara would get permanently banned from the Chinny.
October 7 - Kikemin posts his empty fridge, suggesting he is starving.[1]
October 8 - Captcha bypasses were broken for 18 whole hours, resulting in very dead activity.
October 9 - /chud/ gets it's 222222th post, which is a MLP win. A Halloween theme is also added
October 11 - Kharkiv asks for feet pictures, leading to a foot dox thread.
October 16 - A Postal 2 mod that consists of a chinnycuck texture would get made.[2]
October 18 - Anonimos gets doxxed from a thread
October 21 - The host goes down
October 23 - The site is still down, with the Chinny telegram posting the message "Still waiting on them" (in reference to their host). The down page gets a new update reading: "We are currently waiting on our support tickets to actually be answered. The host dropped us over a technical misunderstanding, they temporarily unsuspended us, but their website and control panel have been unresponsive, and we've been unable to get into the server. We're still waiting for a reply back."
October 27 - The Chinny returns after 5 days of downtime

November 3 - Kara (or someone LARPing) has a meltdown in response to SNCApedia banning his alt and attempting to doxx him, ends up deleting his discord server
November 4 - Some faggot has a meltdown when people post a certain version of Mykola which causes other users to spam the catalog with that same image
November 17 - "Sucypedo" and Kara both leak at each other with Kara claiming that Sucypedo is actually Suznetsov
November 22 - A Chinny user gets grok to make an operating system in Python called pyOS, shartyteen gets a Chinnypedo doxed by using a ip grabber
November 28 - Kikemin makes a post claiming that the Shroom is heavily datamining it's users and is using google iframe exploits to scrape info from logged-in google accounts to target and doxx individuals that they do not like.

January 14 - Kikemin posts about not seeing a need for /meta/ anymore.

February 20 - A user makes a community thread with the goal of making a mansion in chinnycraft.

it's from sncapedia, which is a wiki that documents the sharty splinters. the main basedjak wiki prohibited pages about splinters for a while, and still prohibits the chinny from having a page due to supposed pedophilia, so info about splinters was moved there.
