i recently ordered 50 capsules and they're slightly too big for my silver rounds.
I got the correct size 39mm, but these are made a little too big and the coins shake inside.

I also got some bar capsules and those were nice, but I had one silver bar that was slightly too big and wouldn't fit.

Nothing will fucking happen, the silver price will drop again, and I'll buy some more. None of the schizo boomer predictions about the Comex and LBMA have ever come true. Silver will skyrocket when, and only when, we get runaway inflation. Until then banks will keep on manipulating the price, and I'll keep on stacking.

Everything you say is true except one very important detail: COMEX can't make Silver magically appear in their vaults. What happens when companies start to demand Comex to deliver Silver that they don't have? It doesn't matter how many tricks they play with the price. Silver paper is not real silver.

let's see how this cash settlement thing with comex might work out.
I was initially curious is the cash settled price would be an average, but it seems like it is based on the day's price.
but how about we do some reading and share.

check this find out. I havent heard this mentioned.
my understanding was that comex contracts were 5000 ounces
apparently starting on monday they are introducing a 100 ounce contract,

that's even smaller than shanghai's 500 oz contracts.

I wonder how this will affect the market.

oh shit.
someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but i think these 100 ounce contracts are cash settled. seems like they are dangling smaller contract sizes to entice traders to cash settle only.
but I might be misunderstanding.

>>
>>61820287
confirmed with ai
>yes, the new 100-ounce CME silver futures contracts (SIC) are
cash-settled only. Launched to meet retail demand, these contracts are financially settled against the daily settlement price of the standard 5,000-ounce silver futures, meaning no physical silver is delivered upon expiration. They are designed for trading on Globex and through ClearPort.

wow someone should pay for all the research.
I was also the anon who initially pointed out the differences between cme and shanghai contracts and i'm the one who exposed gold as a yellow rothschild monopoly metal.
please clap.

they are also raising margin rates starting on monday

>CME Group
has increased margin requirements for COMEX 5000 silver futures, hiking them to 18% from 15%, effective after the close of business on Friday, February 6. These hikes follow a period of extreme volatility and are intended to cover risks in the precious metals market. This is the third such increase since January 13, reflecting significant market fluctuation.

so my guess is that some traders will get margin called on their big 5000 ounce contracts.
they might be able to swap into the smaller 100 ounce contracts, but those will be cash settled only.

very sneaky.

i imagine they will continue to margin hike and shake all the weak hands into 100 ounce contracts.
imagine you default your margin hike, but they give you the option to transfer to the 100 ounce cash settled contracts. I bet many will take it.

I have a question. I'm pretty clueless about the way COMEX operates. But isn't it true that every futures contract has two sides? One long and one short? Someone agrees to buy a specific amount in the future while someone else agrees to sell in the future but at today's price? And normally if the price has gone down, the long pays cash for the loss while the short takes the cash or visa versa. But if the buyer wants delivery, he can ask for the silver and the seller must buy the silver at the then current price and deliver. Is this correct? If so, then isn't it the seller's obligation to come up with the silver? And the margin they pay is security for meeting the obligation? Or is COMEX responsible somehow?

High Frequency Traders (HFT) have a way to circumvent the circuit breakers.
>18% drop in silver on January 30th between 12:30 to 1:30 pm EST
>dynamic circuit breaker and announcement should’ve gone off but didn’t
>circuit breaker is supposed to give 2 minute timeout so stop losses aren’t triggered
>ourguy emails COMEX and asks why weren't they triggered
>gets told about velocity logic, velocity logic wide (1 second) and velocity logic narrow (1 millisecond)
>they are price movement rules for HFTs who trigger a 5 second timeout then reset the look-back price referenced for the 10% circuit breaker rule calculation
>this velocity logic system is only used by hedge funds and HFTs
>there is a 2 tier system in place with different rules
>retail cannot see any of this
>the 10% circuit breaker rule only works when HFTs are absent the market
>the paper markets are a total farce
The only way to win this game is to buy physical.

>how many people do you think will be able to pay contract in full to receive physical at current prices?

76,091 contracts (~390 million oz) are currently scheduled for delivery in march. You can see the numbers here: https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/metals/precious/silver.volume.html

In January nearly 100% of the contracts took delivery. For what it's worth, the free float is only about 100 million ounces.

Having said that, thank you for your service, kind sir.

Excellent post. My guess is this month is going to be volatile with heavy price suppression.

Oh wow. This makes me think we are going to see a huge crash leading into Chinese new year and possibly comex force people to cash settle.
They can run cover by blaming it on the cpi report.
Thanks for the chart. I didn't realize how the timing was lining up

More cheapos incoming?
>>
>>61820608
They're going to try to knock out every long and everyone who has ever considered going long in the silver market.
There is also Chinese New Year, where buying pressure from the East will be reduced (they buy before the holiday, not so much after).
I plan on buying throughout this month and maybe into the beginning of next depending on the price.

Basically, its gonna happen like this:

COMEX doesn't have enough silver to deliver.

COMEX goes to all the silver paper guys asking for physical and says "Heres your fucking fiat in U.S dollars, fuck your delivery, now FUCK OFF"

This makes silver paper guys panic / pissed off. They sell off all paper and demand more. This is either gonna make retarded paper guys and industry realize there is no silver, or they cope and acually settle for u.s fake and gay dollars, which means the COMEX needs to be bailed out by the feds and hyper inflation happens

Paper prices could go to 0.01 cents, complete disconnect to physical.

Anything after that, who in the fuck knows. It could go parabolic, the comex goes tits up with the dollar.

Price could correct to its actual physical availability

i dunno man just keep stacking physical
>>
>>61820544
Huh? That page link says only 17.8 million oz stands for Delivery in February. The free float is 103m oz right now, ya, but if only 17.8m gets delivered then who cares, they're not defaulting any time soon.

I don't know if you saw but I made a decent amount in last 72 hours in past threads. I do have more of the feet ones but anons get really fucking mad when I post them so I may have to legit go to /a/ to post them all one day like they keep telling us to do.

Anyway this month and next month are going to get so wild I can't wait. I already cashed out my 401k equivalent and mutual funds and bought silver so now I'm just chilling and waiting for the decline of the world economy.
