>>
>>62834307
Yea, what made this market so bizare is bond demand jumped 3 weeks ago which I dont think anyone saw as the big boys sold AI (which people did see coming) to buy bonds. So with high demand premiums lowered. Normally bond rates and tech correlate and this month we got the opposite. So when premiums shrank I sold my TQQQ, which in hind sight was dumb. Wild times and with a shrinking 30 year Im completely lost on whats next.

The opportunity to sell ads to you is driven by an action system. Online advertising has never had a real recession in the modern era, and I suspect people are going to be surprised at how much Meta and Google ad revenue dips in a real recession (things unrelated to AI are already getting soft).

When this happens, there will inevitably be panic that it is a new normal or caused by AI and not just cyclical which will be a great time to buy.
>>
>>62834376
it's the search, people who use the ai search don't see google adwords. a lot of business had been caught in a prisoners dilemma where they had to buy their own search results even if they ranked at the top so their competitors wouldn't buy it and push them down the page, great for google, but that is all coming to an end.

That has always been the case. They've been able to keep the scam going by promising AGI in 2 more weeks for the last several years. Just another 100B loan, and a few dozen more data centers, and all the electricity on earth, and they can make the chat bots really really really convincing, and then we can have AI utopia.

These companies all run profitable businesses, then claim the AI they force their employees to use are driving the profits.

Curiously, no company that specializes in AI specifically, has ever been profitable. Ever.

I mean it unironically is, these AIs are actually useful and Will change the world. Though, of course, that is a very different discussion from how overleveraged or not the AI market is and if they can grow revenue faster than the interest makes their debts unpayable. Though I suspect Meta will keep chugging along for a long time if nothing else, they are still in the green and Zuck frankly seems to like throwing meta money at whatever tech hobbies catches his interests, and he has enough voting power that he cant be stopped lol

Datacenters are the main moat for now. But people underestimate Anthropic. Your not just investing in an AI company but also in a cult. Imagine having the opportunity to invest in the illuminate when it was founded and not doing it. Their moat is that if they gain enough power they will simply destroy anyone who dares compete with them

Aren't we entering the prophesied 'worst case scenario' then from like two years ago? Big tech dumps CAPEX into AI, lays off workers to afford it, investment flops, they burnt a bunch of money and the economy tanks.

I just don't see us being at that point right now, I think it's premature. These companies are trading at low PEs and I think the market doesn't wanna price in that memory etc isn't a traditional cyclical (and if it is cyclical, it's closer to a 10y cycle than 2y).

the stock market doesn't have emotions and it doesn't do what it "should" do. it's a continuous double auction and prices change because of imbalances in liquidity. right now someone is hitting the bids hard, but it can't and won't go on forever. someday soon they'll be hitting the asks and the headlines will find something positive to talk about.
