I do some amateur cosplay for events once or twice a year and I was convinced to try crossplaying for once. It consistently does better than my previous cosplays. What now?
>>10909600Does better by what metric?
>>10909601compliments mostly but ppl actually show interest in the props for example, Im not one for sewing much but I do make some props.
>>10909600>It consistently does better than my previous cosplays"Well I coulda told ya that." Lean into it
>>10909602Well hey if you have the body to make it work and it seems to be popular, keep at it. What did you crossplay as out of curiosity that got such a good response?
>>10909602Anon. Literally nobody cares about cosplaying males unless they wear a dress. Anyone coulda told you that
Cool, you're just like every other kid growing up in this day and age. Your dad has failed you. Do you want asspats for being a faggot?
>>10909613no I want to ask what happened to guys looking cool in male cosplays. I have nothing against crossplaying but the lack of appreciation for regular male cosplays is sickening
>>10909608ump45 from gfl, basically female snake
>>10909617Nice GFL doesn't get much attention anymore I'm glad it went well for you! Now post your prop ump
>>10909620nice, I made the ump prop I mentioned out of mdf and took it to carnaval, a lot of the more fragile parts I made broke. I mostly use my airsoft one now, the red paint is required by law here.
>>10909623That's pretty impressive anon. I'll have to look into her as well. I had fun with GFL when I had it. I also do Snake cosplays too.Does your attention come from more women or men?
>>10909673thanks, Im looking into a snake cosplay too, might settle for smt simple and a cardboard box tho. Usually my coasplays only catch the attention of ppl who recognise them, mainly other guys, except female ones where its more mixed and usually doesnt rely on people recognising the character as much.
>>10909682Honestly we could use crossplayers in metal gear. Plenty of femme fatales that need to be cosplayed.
>>10909726nah, I only crossplayed gfl and touhou bc its mostly females, I could cosplay yegor or one of the machine type enemies or smt tho. If I cosplayed someone from the metal gear franchise it would prob be snake, ocelot or someone from mgr
>>10909602It sounds like whatever character you crossplayed is more popular than the characters you did male cosplay of. What men did you cosplay as?
>>10909726Two for the price of one
>>10909732Love to see it.
>>10909731jager from siege and a monolith soldier from stalker. All others were more akin to halloween costumes than actual cosplays. I technically "cosplayed" sans once bc I was feeling lazy, a blue jacket, black shorts and some slippers I got a the dollar store.
>>10909732nice
>>10909730I bet you would be a cute Paz.
>>10909775no clue who that is, I only really cosplay characters from franchises i like as a conversation starter at cons
You do cosplay for events or at events you don't sound like you know enough to be cosplaying for events
>>10909780most ppl cosplaying at the events I go to just pick up some random genshin cosplay online. I started cosplaying bc of carnaval (Portuguese party in some cities where ppl dress up either in whatever they want or some sort of satire fit) and get drunk asf, how I broke my ump prop. The cosplaying at cons is somewhat secondary.
>>10909600Might as well embrace it
>>10909783That sounds like fun. The Portuguese are alright.
>>10909783Yeah thats normal cosplayer lol
>>10909901Yep, ppl dress up in all sorts of dumb stuff and go party in the streets very late at night, sometimes even smoking weed in public even though its illegal here. The whole motto is "Carnaval ninguem leva a mal" (sort of means people are chill at carnaval). Its also tradition for guys to crossdress very unconvincingly, as a cosplayer I was dared to crossplay there and here I am.
>>10909623found a pic of it before it broke
>>10909933Have fun light one up for me.
