Red Lobster was purchased by a seafood conglomerate in Thailand a few years ago. They probably thought they could somehow take over the US seafood dining market through vertical integration. Instead their purchase went bankrupt and now they're looking to sell the chain. My bet is that Roark Capital will buy Red Lobster. That the chain is using King & Spalding to handle its bankrupcy is interesting since Roark Capital's offices are located in the King & Spalding headquarters in Atlanta while Red Lobster is headquartered in Orlando.
