Aberlour A'bunadh
>>

try the lagavulin

Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask, it's my go to scotch, not too expensive, good flavor, and the rum gives a vanilla caramel flavor.

Trollpost. Known for its very heavy peat.
>>20465628
Terrible post. 404 Flavor Not Found. Almost identical tasting to the much cheaper Balvenie Doublewood, which is also a bad, nearly flavorless whisky.

Maybe if you stopped smoking crack you'd be able to taste something besides cock.

Sounds like you want a peak women whiskey. Try redbreast 12

Teacher's I guess

first thing that came to mind was Glenmorangie 14 Quinta Ruban.

>46%
>medium strength
I'd consider 50% the starting point for medium strength, but this is still only the second not terrible rec in the thread.

I had a bottle of Arran 10 recently that was delicious
>>
>>20466130
depends on the bottling. the Uigeadail I have drinks substantially hotter than the Bunnahabhain 12 cask strength at 60.1% although the Bunna doesn't take water as well.

Opinion disregarded.

>>20466148
water is fine. ice is pleb tier.
>>
>>20466152
>water is fine
It's not. Adding it makes the guaiacol float to the top. Thus, your first sip is more flavorful, but all the sips after that are less flavorful.
It ruins it.
>>
>>20466157
the difference between neat and with water is negligible after adding water. it's mostly effective for the nosing as opposed to taste where as ice changes the sensory experience drastically and diminishes any quality.

Edradour

Checked, teachers is your recommendation; I would recommend Bell’s.
>>
>>20466157
it's perfectly reasonable when drinking cask strength
>>
>>20466127
This is exactly what came to mind for me as well. Quinta Ruban is probably my favorite reasonably-priced scotch in general, BTFOs stuff like Macallan Double Cask 12 etc. imo.

the new branding is so fucking awful

How do i get into hard liqure, i just can't get past the burn
>>
>>20469273
You can start by stopping your estrogen treatments.
But serious answer, at least for good whisky, is to take smaller sips. VERY tiny sips.
When people complain about a good whisky having too much burn, even cask strength whisky, it's almost always simply because they're taking too big of sips.
Good whisky is not for shooting. It is not for large sips. It is for teeny, tiny sips rolled around the tongue to fully appreciate the flavor.

Haven't lived in a country where WT is available for years, WTF happened to the bottle design?
>>

Don't

fancy label = more expensive?
>>
>>20469414
they want metrosexuals to buy it now and they wanted to save on the materials used. apparently using 1/3 the label is cheaper than embossing every piece of glass.
