I'm from The South and love black eyed peas, but if I'm being honest, black beans are better, especially when paired with canned beef or pork. Also significantly cheaper for some reason.Spam is said to still be edible 50+ years after canning. Fat and protein will be the hardest macronutrients to come by in an apocalypse scenario.

>>22225707>>22225781if you need three 4chan threads to tell you to buy some rice, beans, flour, salt, and vitamins then you don't really deserve to survive.throw in some polar pure and a ruger 10/22 and 5000 rounds of ammo. freeze your flour and rice for 1-3 days after purchase to destroy the bug eggs in them. get 5 gallon buckets with gamma seal lids for dry good. get a gallon of orange food safe color changing silica gel beads and cloth sacks. fill the sack with silica beads and put it in the top of the dry good container. replace the beads if they change color as it indicates moisture saturation.if your dry goods are in a food safe relatively hermetically sealed container you really don't need to bother with vacuum sealing or canning. you can also lay a cheese cloth over the top of the goods and sprinkle a layer of diatomaceous earth and it will prevent bugs from entering the dry goods as they will die after walking over it.look at Mormon websites for food supply and storage recommendations because they are masters of this shit.anyway I'm leaving and hiding this thread now because we've had it about 500 times in the last 10 years and it's getting boring
