I'm getting a thread started about this fucking movie God help me. I adore every frame thats happening here and no one is talking about it. Its fucking delightful. I'm happy every time I watch it. I've watched it 9 times and I don't get bored.SOMEONE on this cocksucking god forsaken board is going to talk to me about Robot Dreams and I will keep making this thread until that happens.
>>143310749are they gay or is the dog female?
>>143310749If there's no coom or LGBTQ in it, it's getting ignored.
>>143310827Dog makes male noises and the robot is a robot so who knows.
>>143310827>are they gaykind of but not exactly
>>143310749what did they mean by this?
>>143311050I mean lets be honest here. Its hard to tell if theyre gay or just really close friends friends. from the early 80s. If you rollerskate and dance to Earth Wind and Fire nowadays you're a faggot for sure, but those were simpler times.
Love how much personality the background characters have, really adds to the charm. Also I would kiss the robot.
>>143311090Its alluded to early on when he cant pick up the box when robot gets delivered.
He's cute.
>>143311136Did friends lovingly entwine pinky fingers back in the 80s too?
>>143311136the robot doesn't have a dick. if he strapped on a dildo and went to town it'd be pretty gay.
>>143311222Those fuckin digits dude
>>143311222Honestly Ive done gayer. Do you guys not cuddle with your friends when you go camping? Its fucking cold out.
>>no oneWell, most of the discussion is on Twitter so yeah. Plus, I did see a thread a few days back regarding RD.Anyways, this is a good and underrated movie. Wish more people notice it. I know gay furries would love this one.
>>143310749I don't watch jew wokeshit
>>143311222If you're an adult watching it, you can chalk it up to romantic interest. If you're a kid watching it, you can see it as just friendship since little kids are pretty touchy-touchy with one another. It works for both demographics without being explicit and I like it for that.
>>143311136wait really? I'm about to go roller skating this weekend and I was gonna listen to boggie wonderland :(
>>143310749the dogs a piece shit, left his "friend" alone for months becuase he didnt want to break the law. if he truly cared about him he would do more than just 1 attempt at rescueing him. what an embarrasment of a "feel good" movie. if you watch the movie for the robot thats fine but that dog deserves to be alone
>>143311635Meds.
>>143310749Be honest, /co/. Have you guys never had a relationship where the other person became such a chore that it was starting to drag you down? I had a friend who was going through rough patches and I stuck by them for a year. Helped them out, was there financially for them, gave them a place to sleep, hung out with them a lot, spent a lot of time with them. But they just remained depressed. They never tried to get into a better spot despite opportunities and just wanted to remain a sad victim. I slowly drifted apart with that person because our conversations just degraded to how bad he felt all the time. That's kind of how I view the whole beach scenario. It's just a hyper sped up version of trying to fix something where one is stuck and the other isn't. Even when you make attempts, it doesn't work out.
>>143311820no i am a miserable asshole and haven't had a friend in over a decade. sounds like i made the right decision if my existence is that much of a burden. nobody wants to be friends with a fuckup.
>>143311987I could have wrote this post myself.
>>143311820>it's just a hyper sped up version of trying to fix something where one is stuck and the other isn'tFeels more like an allegory for how if friendship becomes a low investment, there's no incentive to stay committed to it. Kind of like how things are now with social media, and dating services. I don't know what's up with you if you interpreted that out of it.
>>143311820One of life's hardest lessons
>>143310749>Robot DreamsDo you guys read the title as a verb or a noun?
>>143312280doesn't sound very hard for the people telling the "friend" to fuck off politely.
>>143311820No, because I was almost that friend. I cut myself off from everybody until I get my shit together. No actual progress but I'd rather have loneliness than be a bother.
>>143310749I like it, but it's very hard for a lot of media to get attention in general. Especially with streaming services being very separate, where for a lot of reasons it's easier to pirate than to pay. So not a lot like this is made.
>>143311820>Be honest, /co/. Have you guys never had a relationshipCorrect.
>>143311820I had a friend like that. It sucks cause I still think about him sometimes, but I think we were just toxic for each other. It didn't help that he had feelings for me which I couldn't return. Last I heard he finally found a good job after I cut him off, so I think I made the right choice.
>>143311820Yes, after watching the movie, I felt like I was the robot, and sometimes the dogWe had plenty of fun together talking about stuff or just messing around on the internet. I tend to be annoying as hell around new friends, and I was also going through family problems at that moment, so I basically traumadumped all my problems onto him.I will always regret being a bad friend by depending too much on him. I don't believe I want to make friends again after that rollercoaster cuz I hate drama. What I will remember from him forever is his love for the parappa games lmao
>>143311820Outside of the meme version of it, cutting out toxic people out of your life is a generally a good thing. It's actually the most logical move after exhausting all your other options.
>>143310749comfort food movie
>>143310749Dog is cute. What breed is he anyway?
>>143311090>what does dog/robot sex sound like These are the kinds of questions Robot Dreams makes you ask yourself
>>143313312>being self awareBasedThe amount of bad friends ive had that will never give a shit by the kindness anyone ever showed them
>>143311820In this case it's more so that dog was too inexperienced for a relationship. He was moving too quickly, misunderstanding of how to treat someone like robot (letting him get wet), which lead to breaking him.He knew how to navigate things better with his next robot relationship in addition to his general life experience he gained after failing to fix his first relationship literally.
>>143315324How do you get experience if you have none? Sounds like anons in thread never grew up from happily ever after
>>143311728I mean isnt that sort of the point? Dog fucked up his relationship and had to spend time working on himself before he was ready to move on and learn form his mistakes with a new partner.I like the ending because Dog and Robot both go on to new relationships that fit them well. Robot gets Rascal who is experienced enough to look after him properly and Dog learns from his fuckups and gets a new Robot that he treats better.
>>143310749>Robot Dreams of NTR
>>143316267
>>143316267Is it still NTR if its essentially a clone?
>>143311987>nobody wants to be friends with a fuckupCorrect. The good news is that you don't have to be a fuckup. It's more of a state of mind than anything else.
>>143311050It felt to me like a parent and child relationship.
>>143316374>>143316267selfcest NTR
>>143310749when can burgers watch this movie? mars express has a "theatrical" release in may but not anywhere close to where I live
