I don't remember the werewolf episode at all unless it's the one that took place in Ukraine but that shit you posted definitely sticks out. Also the weird zombie things. My brother and I used to chant "the pork the pork" when we were having pork for dinner the same bizarre way the zombies said "t'pork t'pork" or whatever on the show.
Also, "I eat ____ for breakfast," obviously.
And the vampire flies.

And this:

>>
>>143324653
That werewolf episode were pretty violent one, which was also the first episode that was shown blood in it.
>>143324550
Well, the reason why I'm horny for her was because it was the first time that I saw that even a hot woman can become a large werewolf monster, which I thought only guys can become werewolves, and I love werewolves because It's simply a universal fact that werewolves are cooler. I only wished that the three-headed werewolf wasn't supposed to be a female, otherwise I would only love this cractive design since I'm huge fan of monster design.
>>
>>143322977
for real i was like 3 and would scream and/or hide in the couch cushions when this came on, same with the 101 dalmations live action preview and some show with weird barney like figures doing a kickline dance that i've never found proof of actually existing

and this.
>>
>>143316524
This and the violin girl were the only things that genuinely frightened me.
>>
>>143325013
What IS this show?
>>
>>143326264
Mighty Max, and this series had a lot horrible abominations of monsters & villains that scared the living hell of me when I saw that as a kid. Since most of them were actually manage to killing people, clarified them as an actual threat in the series and of course, their designs is just so creative that some of them are mix of traditional classic monsters and mythical creatures into one, they would make you shit your pants. Truly a shame the series wasn't getting recognition cuz I would love to have these as action figures.
>>
>>143326305
Now this is some stuff I should've watched as a Kid, God damn.
>>
Don't know if this is the right thread to ask this, but i really need help discovering the name of a certain cartoon. I don't remember what the plot was about, but there was an episode in which some guy accidentally pushed his wife downstairs to her death and then buried her in the walls of the mansion they lived in. At the end of the episode her corpse dragged him to be entombed with her in the wall. Does anyone know this cartoon's name?

I loved this movie as a kid, but I was absolutely terrified of the nightmare scenes - the dream sequence with the train, when Flip opens the door in the basement, and the confrontation with the Nightmare king.
Still loved the movie so much I'd suffer through the scary parts but I'd have nightmares (heh) about the movie well into adulthood.

I've heard people scoff at it now, but King Ramses was definitely a lot more terrifying back on older SD TVs, it helped mask the low quality of the cg and movements when he was far away

I have to wonder if the CGI's contrast to the rest of the characters being 2D can be taken as some kind of intentional uncanny effect, like this spirit exists in a way that regular people were never supposed to perceive.

>>
>>143327208
This is a line specifically from "The Mysterious Stranger", where the "Satan" in question is Lucifer's nephew who shares his name.
Essentially, the point was that, from the perspective of an immortal being outside our understanding of morality, it's incapable of purposefully evil things because it had no frame of reference for what that means. In the story, it tells the group of kids hanging out with it that one of them will one day die an agonizing death from cancer. They beg it to intercede, and (going off the textbook definition of "mercy"), it strikes the kid dead on the spot. Given that he was going to die one day anyway, why not just give him a painless death now so he never has to suffer?
>>

3000 years in the future, all that's left of Bikini Bottom is a circle of monoliths modeled after a long dead lifeform that drones for all eternity. It's very eerie.

Like how the original Arabic name for the Sphinx is "The Father of Fear", because for centuries, there was just a giant head sticking ominously out of the sands, built by a long dead civilization whose language was completely undecipherable.

what? how? and why?
>>
>>143344363
It was based on some FOX News report from the mid-2000s where they blamed millennials being uppity on Mr. Rogers teaching them to have self-worth.

IIRC, the story went that the Project for the New American Century secretly hired tons of animators and writers in secret to make a children's television show that would beat conservative values back into kids with a shocking "tough love" approach. Essentially the old "break em down so you can build them up" method. The "You're not perfect" scene was suppose to be a character that made kids stop thinking they were perfect special snowflakes. The rest audience was so aghast that the PNAC scuttled the project and told everyone involved to take their parts back an re used them. The big punchline was that the bulk of the material was portrayed as being satirical and cobbled together to make Wonder Showzen.

They never gave the show a name, hence why WS's title card and theme just says "Kid's Show"

I remember turning on the TV after waking up post midnight, it was the first time I saw the ratman episode from Martin Mystery

>The episdoe with the Letter N has her feeling worthless until she finds a man and has a baby, but since they were unmarried, their family portrait spells out the word 'SIN'.
>The episode where Mother Nature has a sex change operation literally destroys all life on the planet until the main puppet fucks her discarded pussy, which brings her to her senses
>The episode where letters and numbers were having a race war and a gay Jew though he could solve it by doing a suicide pact with his gay Arab boyfriend, only for the Arab to trick him into dying alone because Arabs are sneaky liars

They... may have been on to something.

they are like toys right? he probably didn't believe in their humanity until he saw they bodies after that

"All the creepy moments in kids cartoons in the 00s was really part of a secret government project to brainwash kids" is exactly the kind of bullshit /x/ was writing in their creepypastas before they all went off the deep end.

More of a creeping dread kind of feeling, but the color draining out of everything has always made me uneasy.
Honorable mention to HIM, as a character overall and that episode where he won in the future.

Holy shit I forgot Rob Paulsen was in this. Reminds me of his voice acting as the MC in this game.

When Ursula gets huge and then gets impaled by the ship's bowsprit.
Shit was terrifying.

This shit, I think studios realized it and eventually somewhat updated it with rock rendition of the intro theme to make it less creepy.

What show is this? It seems really familiar but I can't figure it out. Only things with content like this that pop into my head are either Archie's Weird Mysteries (definitely not that) or Martin Mystery (also not that obviously).
>>
>>143344755
Martin Mystery, as cringe as the art and comedy could be, was a fucking terrifying show. So much of of it was genuinely nightmarish and wouldn't be out of place in real horror movies.

Whatever happened to horror cartoons anyway? I remember lots of 90s/2000s cartoons being based around horror or having many scary parts, but that basically doesn't exist anymore.

I swear this is a big trend.

9 was a pretty hardcore animated movie.

Never understood why this scared the shit out of so many people, it's just a video of a bug. Not even a very visually scary bug like a closeup of a spider or something, it's just a fly. Did nobody else ever look up close at a swatted fly to see what they looked like?

I guess it's a "jumpscare" but the actual clip isn't very scary.
>>
>>143330886
>>143348497
I thought the joke was they're scared for no reason because they never saw a bug before
Did not all kids look at bugs up close for fun?
>>
>>143342398
NGL Frozen Arnold looks pretty cool
>>
>>143348568
It's a jarring transition with loud buzzing so yeah I'm sure a kid who hasn't looked too close could get spooked

Ignore this guy, they dropped an entire second season called Lastman Heroes that bridges the gap between the show and comic.
>>
>>143343758
It's PG so parents probably barely gave a second thought about showing it to the kiddies. Anon's lucky they managed to avoid Outland or Total Recall prior to that.

Knew a girl that was scared of Slenderman as a kid but looked up porn of him and the fear was replaced by lust. If anything it's an effective way to deal with fear.
>>
>>143329834
If that's the case then the Spirit of the Harvest Moon is some eldritch horror to them
