Regarding Gambit, his powers have always seemed sort of ambiguous, as my understanding has always been that he can convert the energy within an item into kinetic energy that disperses with explosive force, but can somehow charge his staff and just hit stuff. I always wrote it off as him sort of charging the outside particles of his staff to blow up on impact while leaving his staff intact for the most part, but my head canon doesn't really make sense if applied to part of wolverine's body
