What I'd say is it had a wholesome vibe to it, wish it had a bit more too it and kept some of the more genuine tones. Like the kid basically throwing typical kid tantrum as he becomes the weakest on his team/isn't needed to be a hero. Then we get a genuine arc about it and the reveal of his parents death and how that fucked him up I just like when shows can have genuine moments and growth. Why I wished pops passed on also weird kid wasn't the leader in s2-3 like his arc in s1 felt like it was meant to make him a better leader

Making it all an illusion and spending the majority of the season there was an outright terrible creative decision, that's the kind of shit you pull for a single episode at most. It's a shame too, because despite season 3 being generally lackluster the ending was still pretty good.

Kid Cosmic is comfy as fuck and my main complaint is that we didn't get more slice of life episodes. I think McCracken really excels at those. Also, Kid Cosmic is Andy Beans greatest score.
