>>143360478>>143360729I think the test pilot set up some of the more important plot threads of the show right out the gate and I love the fact they really focused on Eda vs Lilith as a thing (even moreso than Amity, who was written like a schizoid in this) and it seemed to lean into certain things a lot harder, like Luz being an outcast, or humans in general being discriminated against on the BI. That said, it was obvious most of that stuff was just plot dumping the majority of season 1's reveals just to form a hook for the network execs considering it, it was probably never intended to go to the general public looking anything like that.They do also make the emperor seem more off-screen and intimidating. And the fact that Eda is forced to work for him sort of explains why she hasn't been captured when you'd think the guards would just set up an ambush for her in the city eventually.
