And though DC is still beating the pants off of Marvel in terms of A.I. level (if not literal) writing and art along with poor box office performance, I'm sure Disney will close the gap; if not in brand disinterest/destruction then at least in terms of money lost.But no matter the state of Marvel, at least it's fans were relatively grounded, if not guarded, in their love of what was and never had to resort to defending people like Grant Morrison or Zack Snyder. Marvel fans have always been keenly aware of their brand's events being middling to shit and didn't need to constantly venerate them in hindsight like DC fans do with Crisis events to justify the brand they used to love. I mean Kingdom Come and Earth X are both great, but at least the Marvel fans don't view theirs like some magical argument 'macguffin'.You have two dying brands, both ruined by the hubris of their corporate overlords.
