>>143362088genndy tartakovsky's art is always good.
any design with these proportions
>>143362088This is the guy who did requiem:vampire knight right?
>>143362234That is correct.
>>143362088Curt Swan\ Ogden Whitney school of hyper flatness
>>143362282I've never been able to get into Curt Swan. At least with Whitney, you get the super goofy stuff with Herbie
>>143362270I fucking love his art genuinely the best comic book art I’ve ever seen
I can't get enough of the Monstress cover arts. Also any multi-page spread in Kill Six Billion Demons.Ava's Demon has gorgeous colors, shame it never updates.
>>143362088Did this guy do anything before/after Requiem?
>>143362088This is a cool ass pic. Where's it from?
>>143365137Black Moon Chronicles.
A little bit more from Oliver
>>143365263This one is from the game Heroes of Might and Magic V.
>>143365235Thanks. Checking it out now
>>143365281
>>143365307>>143365281Looks very cool but I think my eyes would hurt from that much black and red if I were to read his comic.
>>143365307
For me it's Art Deco inspired by Cassandre...
>>143366016...but also Benito Jacovitti because nobody makes artwork as dense of fun detail
>>143362088Western art that's inspired by Japanese art but stays distinctively Western and Japanese art that's inspired by Western art but stays distinctively Japanese
>>143362088There is A LOT, I'll post Cerebus the Aardvark to bump this thread
>>143362088>tfw he will never finish requiem
>>143362088OP you have good taste. Michael Turner's Fathom did it for me. Unfortunate that he passed away because i was interested in where he was going to go with Ekos>>143363024this anon also has good taste
>>143365307Hope when they reprint this series (when the last chapter finally comes out) they come out in a super sized format

McCracken's original art is really charming, especially from the mid-late 00s with his Foster's stuff and the very early Wander concepts
>>143362088god what a bonkers fucking comicLove Greldinard's design especially
>>143362088Awesome.
Moebius and his many styles.>>143362088Great choice.
Richard Corben, all the way.
Enjoyed looking at Jorge's artstyle
Enrico Marini's art style in Raptors has always stuck with me, even though I can't remember anything about the plot or characters
>>143362088Paolo Rivera. He have that vintage aesthetic
>>143362088I love Frank Miller's stuff, but especially in sin city, it just looks so god damn cool to me. I also like Alex Ross alot, one of my favorite pages of any comic is the flash one in kingdom come where it talks about him living between seconds, and I don't even really like flash that much
>>143372712pic rel is the flash page I was talking about, alway's loved Garrick's helmet despite not really caring much for the flash, but I think the flash here is actually wally west maybe?
was black moon ever fan translated? did it ever get a translation? shame the artwork changed in the later books.
>>143362088they ever gonna finish the translations for this shit?
>>143367276finally got around to reading this last year. artwork was incredible.
for me it's frank quitely.
>>143372712>Alex Rossa friend of mine really like Kingdom Come, but i think Fantastic Four: Full Circle is better. i don't even like FF, i think they should be dropped so there's focus on Silver Surfer, but it was a feast for the eyes and very enjoyable. it might be the only FF comic i've ever liked. i mailed it to my high school soccer coach because i remember him saying he liked FF

Carlos Nine.
Alberto Breccia.
Sebastián Dufour
Pablo Auladell.
>>143362088Really dig Esad Ribic's art even if it can be hit and miss
Capullo
>>143372712Alex Ross drew the best version of Alan Scott ever
>>143374763What happened to the other eight?
>>143374852The first seven were destroyed by accidents/sabotage, the eight dissapeared 24 hours after becoming opertional.
Whoever drew The metabarons
>>143362088Freddie E. Williams II has gorgeous art to the point that he's the only guy in big two comics I'm willing to say "okay long release schedules are fine" because I feel like he's the only guy in that game who's art actually needs it rather than being a lazy fuck.
>>143375030that was meyou're welcome
>>143375030Juan Gimenez.
>>143362088Robert Valley and the late Mike Wieringo.
>>143374913Not something one would call a huge Car loss then..
>>143362088>requiem:vampire knight>>143362234>>143362270>>143362450god DAMN this guy is kino
>>143362088Geof Darrow. I really like hyper-detailed art in general and his style ticks all the right boxes for me.
>>143373184Holy shit, is that Yakub?
>>143373325I love the FF, so I enjoyed FC alot, as well as KC, I just think the way he draws golden and silver age characters is basically perfect>>143374807I do love that rendition of him, but I am also a sucker for his original costume, and Ross has drawn that one fantastically a few times too
>>143375617I read this a couple months ago and really enjoyed it, I'm sure some people would probably call it messy, but I love looking at it, there are so many little things to pick out on every page, I woulda absolutely loved having something like it as a kid
>>143362088If we're talking cartoon and comic styles and not strictly mediums, I always liked Keith Webb's concept art for Twinsanity. Some of it is kind of jank but it has a particular character to it that I don't think I've really seen in much else. I can't quite put my finger on it.If we are...Steve Purcell is another favorite, his style of cartooning isn't replicated much either. Most cartoonists nowadays shy away from the things that gave the show it's overall feel. Nothing is allowed to be too off-kilter, everything has to try way too hard to fit a "niche" and think that's kind of a shame.
Joe Mad at his peak is the perfect blend of eastern and western sensibilities. Clear Japanese influence but never drifting into "how-to-draw Manga book" territory like so many of his contemporaries in the late 90s/early 2000s.
>>143362088Olivier coipel for me
