One of the big questions that's been raised about Kara in modern interpretations is what it means for her that she was a teen when she got sent off from her home as opposed to Kal being an infant. Kara has actually experienced Kryptonian culture first-hand, and lived with her parents. Clark's experiences are all second-hand. That gives Kara a stronger connection to Krypton than he has and I'd love for this to be used in stories more. Like she is physically younger than he is but she can still be someone who can teach him things even as he teaches her things about earth. I dunno this is the kinda weird shit I think about.

Kara sometimes dodges this by being a child at the time, and if she's from Argo in whatever version it is that can also take the sting off. But a lot of the time they have this whole thing about Kryptonian culture being bad that really works against this being a good plot point.

Were we not in such a dire political climate, I think it'd be interesting if Clark's relationship with Kryptonian culture is that of an n'th generation immigrant, as in he's basically just a regular guy who doesn't quite understand his roots but is interested in them academically and personally, but Kara is a straight up FOB. She knows everything much more immediately, which can be milked for comedy (Clark has an idealized misconception Kara cheerfully breaks, or Clark tries to phrase something about earth to her with Kryptonian analogues that end up being wrong/unhelpful) and sometimes for more personal character moments (Clark IS home exactly where he is, but Kara longs for the home she can never return to).
