I love Timm, but I do think his lineart skills are degrading. His coloring is sharp and just as good, but he's clearly not spending as much time on his lineart, or at least is handling it more haphazard. Really weird, big headed proportions that don't feel intentional.

Spider-Man is bulky sometimes like with Romita Sr. and could work more blocky in that regard but I think Romita managed to fit the contortions of the body better and strike the middle ground perfectly. Also I don't like how B.T. just has chins end in a single point. Fits the style but I dunno I don't like it. Not my preference. Hope he does well doing commissions and helping other artists. Bruce Timm and Adam Hughes are from that dying breed of cheesecake artists that are so good not only because of their craftmanship, but because they know the characters they are drawing, and imbue them with personality in their actions and poses. In short, they are comic fans, they know the medium and are constantly looking back to see how the masters did it.

He doesn't actually design most of the characters. Without his linework or coloring, a lot of the soul is lost.
